Imagine going to the zoo and not see your beloved picture book animals. When people think of problems in the environment they think of global warming and pollution. Well, Poaching is also one of those problems. As years go on poaching has only gotten worse and as a result, animales have been paying the price. As many nations have gotten on board to try to stop the illegal trafficking animals, poachers have not yet stopped. Therefore penalties for poaching should be severe.Poaching is the cause of many species extinction, drug dealing, and weapon smuggling.

By depending on the black market to help sell animal parts, it gives out an idea that this is illegal. In fact, The World Book Web claims that Poachers use animal remains in the trading for weapons and narcotics. Furthermore, this shows how poachers don't just sell but buy illegally. Doubtless, poachers are not alone on this there are people helping, which if we want to get rid of it, it will take time.
Our society thinks it's a bad thing, but people who do it are doing it for a reason. They will say they are doing it for profit and/or for food. People have the right to think that it is causing animals go extinct, but there will always be a counter claim from another person arguing that it's not true. For every argument, there is a counter claim and in this case, the topic is poaching.Poaching is very severe and harmful to the environment while others might say that poaching is great because it sells for a lot of profit. What they don't realize is how much damage they are actually
Argumentative Essay On Social Anxiety
I am interested in why so many people suffer from Social Anxiety. It is significant because social anxiety is a huge problem in today's society that is often overlooked. I think that the advancement of technology has had an effect on the way that people act towards each other, as well as the way children are being raised, and the need for people to feel like they fit in, which has allowed for an uprising of social anxiety disorder. The topic of social anxiety interests me because I think it is something that I myself have. It confuses me as to why people care about what other people think about themselves, myself included.
When trying to find a topic to write about, I started to think about the situations I was surrounded by. I thought...show more content...
I mean, why does it matter what other people think of you? You are who you are and nobody can change that. Which started me off on my journey to picking Social Anxiety as a topic to write about. First, things first I wanted to figure out was the main thing that caused social anxiety disorder to develop. As I was searching on the internet I came across a source that said that people with social anxiety disorder have an imbalance of serotonin (Scutti). Serotonin is a chemical in the brain that regulates the mood and anxiety. If there is an imbalance and you have too much you can have high and low mood swings. This can lead to people developing social anxiety disorder because they have high highs and extremely low lows.
After exploring a wide range of topics, we had to narrow them down to just one specific question that we had, this was difficult for me because I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to write about. I knew that I wanted to write about something involving social anxiety, but I was still unsure about the specifics. That is when we went onto the Utah State Library website and we looked for things involving our topics that could help us deepen our understanding of what it was we were going to write about. At first, I tried search terms like "social anxiety problems" and "social anxiety effects on society". Then as I was scrolling through the articles about the terms I had searched I came across an article called, "Social

Argumentative Essay On Special Education
Introducation
Special Education is a topic of controversy with many advocates fighting for the justice children and adults with special needs so rightfully deserve. With laws being passed and modified so frequently, it is important that the educators being brought into the world have an extensive knowledge of the developmental needs of many different types of children. With this knowledge and their constant measures to keep up to date with the fast–moving world of education, they will be able to deliver an appropriate atmosphere that is in accordance with the law that ensures ethical practices and guidelines are always being followed.
Legislative, Thoerietical, Historical
Our country's Legislative system has set many laws in place to protect the educational rights of all students, which allows for students to have a greater opportunity for educational success with funding levels varying between the states. Hooper and Umansky's book, Young Children with Special Needs, states that the majority of early childhood intervention programs began under the "umbrella of Maternal and Child Health (MCH)," which was put into place in 1935 in accordance with the Social Security Act. The Americans with Disabilities Act and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) are two programs stemming from this historical piece of legislation. The Americans with Disabilities Act was an anti–discrimination law that allowed for more students to have access to certain facilities and resources giving them a better chance to succeed in their education. IDEA made it mandatory for the state to provide special education service programs for children between the ages of three and five. The parents with children who are included in IDEA typically receive grants to help them fund their child's education. Another piece of legislation that is widely utilized in classrooms today is the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). This plan develops a plan of action for the family with children that receive special education services and allows the information to further assist the child beyond school grounds. In use today is the Affordable Care Act (2012) that allowed for programs to be funded that look to prevent and care for children
Argumentative Essay About Anime
Do you watch cartoons? I do. Not bugs bunny; I'm talking about anime. Do you know what that is?
Anime is, simply put, animation that's made in Japan. I'll give you some examples of anime that you might know. Speed Racer, Hello Kitty, Pokemon, RoboTech, Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, and a lot of the cartoons you find on Cartoon Network qualify as well, particularly Adult Swim.
Thankfully our country has gotten the rights to translate the stories from Japanese to English, because the storylines in anime are really good. Often they're better than what Hollywood shovels into your brain.
That's basically what anime is. Now let's talk about what it's not.
Anime is not a genre; it's an art form; a medium. From now on I want you to think of anime as being equated with movies, books, music, etc; all the entertainment media. Just like you have movies for kids, movies for teens, adults, so it is with anime.
All your entertainment comes in 31 flavors, right? Comedy, horror, drama, suspense, action, etc. You file similar movies on the same shelf in the store, don't you? But you shouldn't be putting all anime on the same shelf because anime is not a genre. It's a medium, like movies are a medium, like books are a medium. A medium can have any genre of entertainment in it; well so can anime. Anime is not all sex and violence as some people will tell you. When I hear someone say that anime is sex and violence, that immediately tells me that they watched probably one particular anime show

Drugs or alcohol, for example, already affect your mentally when not sober. Family members can feel like they are the ones to be blamed. Family supports and loves one another. By seeing a family member fall into bad habits, it would be logical that they would feel like they have failed as family. Not only would they feel like they

Quotation:
1. "Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending." –Maria Robinson
Explanation: Our lives are full of ups and downs. Often we get so caught up with the downs in our lives that we fall into depression. We feel that everything in life is falling apart. You regret the choices you've made in the past and feel that you have failed in life. Understand that you cannot go back in time and undo choices you've made but that you can stop yourself from repeating the past by making smarter decisions so that you can have a better future.
Reaction: Yes, our life is full of up and downs. We also cannot change the past, but we can make better things or choices...show more content...
If we try new things we're going to make a few mistakes but we are learning from that mistake. If you don't make any mistakes, you're in a rut and not trying anything new. 4. "The heart has its reasons which reason knows not." –Blaise Pascal
Explanation: The heart, the organ capable of storing love can also reason. Its reasoning makes all the sense in the world to the heart and to the heart's owner when the owner first hears it. It's the reasoning that makes you fall in love at first sight. It's the reasoning that somehow makes it so hard to let somebody go even though you have no logical reason to want that person to stay.
Reaction: The quote means that you have to listen to your heart. Just like in love, you just only knew that you love that person but you don't know why. We fall in love in a mutual weirdness and called it love.
5. "When love is not madness it is not love." –Pedro Calderón de la Barca

Argumentative Essay On Stereotyping
Racial Stereotypes As a little girl, I was ashamed to be Indian. This was due to all the negative stereotypes surrounding my race. In my childhood, I heard people say Indians were smelly, stingy, and stuck up (alliteration). In fear of being teased and misjudged, I tried to be as "normal" as possible to make everyone forget that I was Indian (pathos). As I grew older, I learned to be proud of who I am, but disregarding stereotypes is still a challenge. I am sure everyone in this room has been affected by racial stereotypes before and believe me, I know what you are going through (ethos). You may think that only bigoted and prejudiced people used stereotypes, however, recent studies have shown that everyone categorizes people on a daily basis without even realizing it. Most people think stereotypes are just jokes, yet research proves that stereotypes have serious negative effects. People should stop stereotyping because stereotypes cause "stereotype threats", create social division, and lead to racism (parallelism). The first effect of stereotyping is a phenomenon known as "stereotype threat" that occurs in a situation where a person is in fear of unintentionally confirming a negative stereotype. Several studies have been conducted to discover the effects of stereotype threats. For example, I discovered that Toni Schmader, an assistant professor of the UA psychology department, and Michael Johns, a UA graduate (ethos), conducted studies that showed, "college women score lower on tests of mathematical ability, and Hispanic students might score lower on tests of intelligence, not because they have less ability, but because reminders of negative stereotypes temporarily decrease their 'working memory capacity' (UA News Services, "Exploring the Negative Consequences of Stereotyping", UANews.Arizona.edu)." This demonstrates that the students did not do worse on the test due to their lack of skills, but rather due to negative stereotypes. In a similar study by professors Claude Steele and Joshua Aronson, African American and White college students took the same intelligence test under two conditions. In the stereotype threat condition the students were told the test would evaluate their intelligence, and in the

Failure is the step towards success. Do you agree?
It is often assumed that failure is a deterrent to achievement. Rather, failure should be seen as a motivator for a person to keep trying until the objective or aim of a particular mission is fulfilled. Failure often times leads a person to feel helpless, disappointed and depressed. However, one should not allow this to set them back in trying to achieve the ultimate aim one has set out to do. Failure in the beginning can often be a powerful incentive to reassess one's position in wanting to achieve the particular aims; to analyse whether the purpose is worth the trouble the person has to undergo and the whether the obstacles are surmountable. Another disadvantage of being an only is that he lacks companionship. He has no brother or sister to confide in. Growing up as an only child can be very lonely. If you have siblings you will have to share everything, so you get less; but you also get less of the bad things. Siblings can support and comfort each in times of trouble. The elder siblings learn to care for the younger ones and the younger ones learn to respect their elder siblings and have someone to look up to besides their parents. You are more balanced person than an only child. Another advantage of having siblings is that your parents' attention is divided among your siblings. As a result, there is less pressure on you to perform well, be it academically or in other areas. Having siblings also means that you have companionship, the joy of caring and sharing, and security. I, personally, am happy that I am not an only child.
Students should not take up part time jobs. Discuss.
Nowadays, students love to have part–time jobs. Their parents approve it easily as they are said to gain experience from working. However, having a job is a big responsibility for a student. Before, teenagers at their age were working to help their family because of poverty. Nevertheless, they were actually eager to study and learn at school for their future. It was not the same as the teenagers nowadays where they are more likely competing to each other to have a job. Most of the
Argumentative Essay On Lgbtq
Generally when people think about marriage they think about a man and a woman. In society today, the expansion of gay marriages has increased significantly but quite a few people do not agree with this community. Many think that the LGBTQ+ community is not morally correct and LGBTQ is extremely frowned upon in religions. There has been multiple news articles about the LGBTQ being threatened or getting discriminated upon. Luckily there are an abounding number of charities and organizations to help with this discrimination on the community. Since the LGBTQ is a controversial idea in the United States. Honeymaid, Nordstrom, and Campbells are working to fight the freedom for the LGBTQ+ community by creating commercials and advertising how to be themselves.
Honey Maid is one of the many brands that shows support towards the LGBTQ community. Honey Maid's commercial shows the relationship and happiness the gay community has when it comes to people accepting who they are on the inside. The video presents a gay couple starting a family and living life like any other person would. As a response to the video, a reporter said "I think any child would be lucky to have two dads like you" (Wong). Honey maid has made it clear to the world that they support the LGBTQ+ community. Argumentative Essay On Sexual Abuse
Imagine being robbed of your innocence in a matter of seconds. Imagine not being able to speak out due to threats and fear of seeking help and not being taken seriously. Troubling, is it not? Sexual abuse has always been a problem in society that can affect anyone. Sexual abuse brings along many negative outcomes; however, throughout the years, sexual abuse has been a factor that has always been ignored. Even though sexual abuse has had many attempts to be avoided in various environments, all have failed. Many individuals tend to misinterpret sexual abuse and it's true delicacy. Although sexual abuse is often a violation against women, both genders can be victims. Victims can succumb to mental disorders, including PTSD and depression, which can initiate an unhealthy lifestyle to the point of triggering a contemplation of suicide. Nevertheless, sexual abuse has always been biased towards women relative to men for as long as we can remember. Considering the fact that sexual abuse can occur to both genders, it is mostly known to victimize women. One of the most common environments for sexual abuse to take place is in academic domains. In the view of society, men are above women; in consequence, women portray a weak image, hence making easier casualties of sexual abuse in the educational field. Due to the fact that students may need guidance to better excel in their career, some professors begin treating it as an opportunity to gain sexual access from the student. To better illustrate the idea that sexual abuse makes its way through into academic environments, take the word from the victims themselves. "I was naive enough to think that we would talk about Wittgenstein, but after he flopped over me a few times, telling me that I had to have sex with him... I made my escape" (Whitley 39). Moreover, another victim said "I couldn't say 'no' because he would have responded with rage and revenge. He would have ruined my career"(Whitley 39). In both cases, these women were attacked by the professors for being of lesser status; they were manipulated to remain silent by fear, threats, and their dependence on the professor for academic help. Due to the idea that women are viewed lesser than men, inflicts professors' to
Examples Of Argumentative Essay
Argumentative essay presents a point of view about something and explains the reasons in order to win readers' agreement. It is built around a specific statement (or main premise) that is debatable within the field in which students are studying. In other words, at the center of an argumentative essay is a statement with which readers may disagree. The argumentative essay will need to support that statement in a manner that convinces the readers of its truth. It mainly strives to convince the reader of the writer's point of view, using reasonable and ethical methods .The process of argument composition varies from writer to writer, most writers follow these three stages: forming an argument, which can consist of discovering a motive for writing and identifying an audience to address, discovering and sharpening a position, and developing an appropriate style; supporting the argument; and reviewing the argument, which can include considering the image projected by argument, making substantial additions or deletions to a first draft, and adding an introduction and conclusion (Cheng and Chen 2009, Day,1997, Liu,2005,Mayberry,2009)....show more content...

After talking about how anxiety can keep you from accomplishing life goals and how its a big health issue, here are the different types of anxiety. Some people can say all they have is anxiety but they all dont have the same disorder. There are many different types you can have. There is generalized anxiety, phobias, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive, and panic disorder.
Anxiety – part of the body's natural reaction to stress – can even be helpful at times, making you more alert and ready for action. But anxiety disorders differ from normal feelings of anxiousness. When feelings of fear or nervousness become excessive, difficult to control, or interfere with daily life, it's called an anxiety disorder. (www.everydayhealth.com) . This evidence relates to the types of anxiety because it is telling how anxiety can make you feel and act.
Some people may say that anxiety isn't the main cause of people not wanting to accomplish things or why they have bad health issues. They say it could also be depression or how they are living their life outside of the public. That may be the cause but I personally have an anxiety disorder and it is keeping me from doing thing I always talk about doing but of course I never end up doing it because of my disorder. It causes problems with your mind and body
Argumentative Essay On Cancer
It is one of the most dreaded messages to receive. . . "You have cancer". In 2017, it is estimated that 1,688,780 people in the United States will receive this news ("American Cancer Society"). A diagnosis of cancer can be devastating for a person and his or her family. Many consider a cancer diagnosis a death sentence. It is important to understand what exactly cancer is. Despite a lack of new treatment methods, cancer survival rates are increasing; not much new techniques are being used, and cancer cannot be cured unless more research is done.
The origin of cancer within a person could be a result of multiple variables. Cancer could simply be a malfunction within the body. All living things are composed of cells. Cells house the genetic makeup of a person: deoxyribonucleic acid, or DNA. The human body is composed of trillions of cells which constantly divide to replace old or damaged cells ("The Cells"). For cells to divide, enzymes within the cell must duplicate the DNA. Mistakes in copying genetic code are common. This division of cells usually occurs in a consistent and controllable manner as the cell has the ability to check its DNA for errors and self–destruct if an error is potentially harmful; however, not all mistakes are caught. If the mistake in the DNA is not noticed and taken care of, the cell can develop and begin to behave abnormally. It may gain the ability to stimulate its own growth and ignore signals to stop. When this happens, a cluster of abnormal
Argumentative Essay On Single Parents
Chris Polito Paola Brown Eng102
25 March 2008
Single Parent Struggle
For many years, children growing up in a single parent family have been viewed as different. Being raised by only one parent seems impossible to many yet over the decades it has become more prevalent. In today's society many children have grown up to become emotionally stable and successful whether they had one or two parents to show them the rocky path that life bestows upon all human beings. The problem lies in the difference of children raised by single parents versus children raised by both a mother and a father. Does a child need both parents? Does a young boy need a father figure around? Does the government provide help for single parents? What role do step–parents and step–siblings play? With much speculation, this topic has become a very intriguing argument. What people must understand is that properly raising a child does not rely on the structure of a family but should be more focused on the process or values that are taught to these children as they learn to mature. Children of single parents can be just as progressive with emotional, social and behavioral skills as those with two parents.
People claim that the only way for children to gain full emotional and behavioral skills is to be raised by both a mother and a father. When a topic such as this one has a broad amount of variables it is impossible to simply link these problems to only having one parent. In the article, "Single–parent families cause juvenile crime", author Robert L. Maginnis states, "Children from single–parent families are more likely to have behavior
Polito 1 problems because they tend to lack economic security and adequate time with parents". The simple statement that raw criminals are products of single–parent adolescence is absurd. What this writer must understand is that it can be extremely difficult for one parent to raise a child by themselves for many reasons. A single–parent must work full time to be able to afford to provide for themselves and their child. They must also be able to still have time to offer an exuberant amount of emotional time for the well being of their child. However, even though this may seem impossible, it can be done.

Argumentative Essay On Procrastination
Procrastination is ignoring your responsibilities and avoiding them for no good reason. Experiencing procrastination can have a positive or negative reaction according to the amount of the behavior. The person that is procrastinating must first realize that they have a problem in order to find ways to overcome procrastination because they are putting their health, family and job at risk. Twenty percent of people realize they are procrastinators which in the end becomes a lifestyle. There are various reasons why people procrastinate.
People procrastinate because they are afraid to fail, they have poor time management, they avoid things that seem difficult or they feel depressed or they feel guilty. Some people believe that other procrastinate out of laziness or lack of discipline, but I know there are perfectionists that often procrastinate as well. For example, a perfectionist may put off writing a paper until the night before it is due and then they will have an excuse saying, "I restarted because I didn't like what I had written.". Another example is that some philosophers and scientists, such that Aristotle questioned if time even exists, and Einstein believed that time was a muddle in which the past, present and future were only illusions.
First, a person must be honest with themselves and recognize that they are procrastinating. After coming to the realization that one is a procrastinator, make a to do list with low priority tasks; work out why you procrastinate, by
