Narrative Essay About Summer Vacation
Samantha Young and her mom Rebecca Young never saw eye to eye. Her mom planned on breaking the news to her that she will attend a summer camp that summer. It was almost the end of the spring semester and Samantha would soon be on summer vacation from school. The last day of the semester and she came from school, Samantha dashed through the mahogany double front door of their house and ran up the steep stairs heading towards her room. From her bedroom there was a loud screeching sound from Samantha slamming her body onto her leopard print queen size comforter, then her mom immediately walks into her room behind her.
"Honey what's the matter?" she asked in a concerned voice.
Samantha with her face in her pillow murmurs "Nothing mom," she starts to sit upright so her mom could hear her properly. Samantha removed her short brunette bang which hindered her puppy brown eyes from seeing the concerned look on her mom's face. "I just couldn't wait for the semester to end so I can begin my summer vacation. I have so many exciting things in mind that we can do."
Samantha not knowing that her mom had already decided to send her to a Camp. Rebecca looked at her with confusion in her eyes, because now she must break the news to Samantha about the plans she has for her.
"Samantha, I have already made plans for you to attend camp this summer, it'll be a great experience and it will help you grow spiritually." Doesn't that sound like a fun idea?" Rebecca asked.
Rebecca was a slim lady
Personal Narrative : Summer Vacation
When you're a teen you tend to make irrational and in the moment decisions, especially during summer vacation, tonight happened to be one of those nights. Take it back a week prior, I was texting my boyfriend Connor and he had brought up the idea that we could sneak out together. I brushed off the idea thinking it was insane and that I could never disobey my parents, but it started to grow on me a little. Now don't get me wrong, I'm generally a good kid that doesn't like to bend the rules, but I figured "it's summer, live a little". So we put the plan into place and started thinking about what we would do and how I would sneak out. We decided to have my best friend skyelar sleep over at my house and be my lookout for when I came back in. Saturday night finally rolls around, Skyelar's at my house and everybody in the house is asleep. I figured it's now or never, so I text Connor saying he can come to my house and pick me up. The anticipation starts getting to me as I get ready for the long night ahead of me. As I'm doing my makeup and putting together an outfit the thoughts in my head are going a mile a minute, "what if we get caught?", "what if we get in a car crash, how will I explain this to my parents?", "what if I can't get back in the house?". As I'm putting on my shoes, my phone lights up with two words, "I'm here". My heart drops, I quickly make a makeshift me with pillows and blankets, shut the bedroom light off, and quietly shut my door. I tiptoe down the hallway
Summer Vacation Essay
Summer is a time of fun and the dreaded heat wave. Well, my family and I decided to change the usual by visiting New York City; there was even an advertisement in the New York Times newspaper stating that there was a free vacation if you signed up on this website, which was called TheNewYorkExperience.com. My parents signed the rest of the family up, even if it was suspicious. Either way, it was finally time for the vacation that we always wanted; only five days were left until the trip would begin. My mother and father disputed which method of transport that we were going to take to get there. They argued between taking a flight or driving the family car the entire night. But all of a sudden during the middle of the argument, the same website from before sent an email to my father's phone stating that there are flights free of charge for people who had signed up. My father was in a state of happiness knowing that this trip was going to be very exciting. Now, we were going to fly in only two days. Finally, it was the day of the trip that we have all been waiting for. We packed our luggage and drove to the airport where, not surprisingly, there was a long line of others who saw the advert in the newspaper. We boarded the plane at 10:50 A.M. and flew out at 11:30 A.M. I was the most excited for this trip where I planned to go to Times Square, Bryant Park, and explore Coney Island. Then, all of a sudden, the pilot said, "We're sorry for any inconvenience, but we have to
Descriptive Essay About My Summer Vacation
It was a beautiful day to try something new at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, California. It was a long year in fourth grade, and my family and I were excited to start our summer vacation. As we pulled our trailer on the southbound I–5 freeway towards San Diego, I could see the temperature gauge on my father's truck slowly dropping to the mid 70's. We were in a packed car with my father, mother, older brother, younger sister, snacks and drinks everywhere, and me, entranced by the game on my brand new iPod that I recently received on my birthday. I had gone on camping trips my whole life so I was thrilled to go to a new beach and campground, but I was bewildered when we pulled into a Costco parking lot. I asked my father, "Why are we at...show more content...
The board came in a heat shrunk plastic cover with the fins, leash, and directions enclosed. We ripped off the plastic cover like it was wrapping paper and gathered the tools we needed: a quarter to fit the extremely large flathead hole on the top of the fins, a knife to cut the leash to the desired length, and a black Sharpie to write our names on it. After we had finished, my father came to inspect our work. He concluded his inspection by placing the surfboard in the back of the truck, implying that we were successful and that it would be ready for tomorrow. I was entranced by the thought of surfing, I dreamt all night about monstrous waves like in the movies, and gliding along side dolphins as they played in the ocean. That morning I woke up like it was Christmas, early, energized, curious, and excited. In preparation, I put on my swimsuit and practiced paddling and popping up on my skateboard as I rode around the campground at seven o'clock in the morning. It seemed like forever until my family woke up and was finally ready to go to the beach. Luckily, Mason and I only had to walk a total of 200 meters to get the board into the water; unfortunately, half of the trek was through soft sand, and took over five minutes.
Eventually, we were ready to make our first surfing memories. Mason was elected to go first since he was older and it was his present. My father waded into the water and pushed

Draculink Continues.... 2 months later.. Vacation is over, and tomorrow is the first day of school. I have no idea what to do. Over summer break, it has been insane for a long time. Knowing what consequences will come, I will get through it, hopefully. BEEP, BEEP!! Waking up to the most unsatisfying noise on earth. It is the first day of school, and I still had Draculink's bite. I was still craving ink! Decided to go downstairs, and pretend that I was eating. Only waiting for my parents to leave so I could pour my food down the trash. As I walk out the door, grabbing five books and stuffed it in my bag. I greeted my friends Ava and Noah at the bus stop wanting to take out a book. As the bus headed to school, there are only a few minutes till the bell rings. Rushing to the restroom into one of the stalls, I pulled out a book and started drinking. Few people walk in so I slipped my books back into my bag, and went to first period. Wanting to go to the library and find some old books because they taste better. Kids are still in school, but I have found a hiding spot. I gingerly crawled under the tables and had clad myself with the chairs. Not noticing Ava and Noah had walked in and noticed me! They looked at each other and went my way. In a cursory manner, Pushing aside the books acting like nothing had happened, but still they saw me. " What are you doing under there Juan?" Ava asked. I was acting like it was all fun and games, and started to laugh. Noah and Ava looked at each
Descriptive Essay About Summer Vacation
"Hooray!" I shouted, I am so excited about today. Why am I so enthusiastic you may ask, because today is the first day of summer vacation. We were on our way to the beach Every year me and my family visit the beach for a whole month. So as you can see there is much to be excited about. As we drove along I could barely wait, I could smell the fresh, salty ocean air. I asked my parents "are we there yet." They replied with one word, yes! This year in particular is extra exciting because we are going to rent a new beach house. We had arrived as I leapt up out of the car to my dismay the new beach house wasn't as great as I had anticipated.
My parents and I went for a walk around town. As I was dragged into the Pirate Museum I listened to stories of the pirates and their treasure. The stories were not at all what I had expected they surprisingly were very interesting. One story in particular was the most interesting about pirates who had supposedly buried their treasure on this very beach. When we returned home I went outside searched for more about this new found buried treasure. I felt the hot, dry rough grains of sand on my feet. As I searched I heard someone call out "hey what are you doing." As I looked up I saw the face of the kid from the beach house down the street. I replied, "I am looking for the buried treasure."The kids name was Joe and he wanted to help me on my quest. We decided that the next day we would look for clues around town.
The next day we split up and looked for clues I went to learn more from the Pirates Museum and it's workers and he asked around people town and looked for other places that might help. From my second trip at the museum, I was told much more about the pirates who sailed the deadly ocean seas. I could practically feel the windy, cold rough seas of the ocean. I learned this city used to be the hideout for the pirates, and that there was also a map hidden somewhere to lead you to the treasure. Part of the map was kept here in a secret room but the rest was yet to be found. I was overjoyed with this incredible news and ran quickly to tell Joe. If we found the rest of the map we could find the treasure. I saw my new friend Joe walking towards me, he had also
My Summer Vacation Essay
My summer vacation this year if you even call it a vacation has been insane. My summer started out normal until the day I to went visit my dad. My parents had recently gotten a divorce so they no longer lived together. It all started with the secret that my dad had no idea about. Just before I got in the plane my mom gave me a hatchet, which I had no idea what I would ever use it for. I was getting there on a bush plane with a very friendly pilot. He even let me drive for a while, every thing was fine until he started having problems, big problems. Seconds later he was silent. Silent. That's when everything went wrong. It took me awhile to figure out what's happening but I made somewhat of a plan to ¨land¨ the plane. Once the plane ran out of gas I crash land into a lake somewhere in the Canadian forest. Insane.
As soon as the plane hit the water it was a race to surface before my lungs filled with lake water. The journey to the shore was tiring and bye the time I finally woke up from who knows how long my face was fried and mosquitoes were eating me alive. Millions of things were flying through my mind at that time, the pilot, where am, what do I do, food, and shelter. I didn't even know where to start. Food. I knew I needed food before I could do anything. I grabbed a sip of water from the lake hesitant at first. The pilot. I decided I needed the water so I got some anyways trying not to think of the pilot. As I stumbled up the hill trying to keep the lake in sight at all times I found some sort of berries and started shoving my mouth full of whatever those berries were. Once I got back to the lake I realized eating too many of those berries made me feel like my stomach was tied in knots and was being chewed by those berries and spit back out. Gut cherries. After that I knew I could not live off those gut cherries,so I went in search for more food. About a hundred yard past the gut cherry bushes were Raspberries. Then I really stuffed my face and didn't even realize that there was also someone eating the berries as well, it wasn't a person; but a bear. Insane.
Since the food part was taken care of I needed shelter. I was thinking of making a lean–to until I found a cavish like shelter that went a
How I Will Spend My Summer Vacation
How I will Spend My Summer Vacation
There is an old proverb that goes, 'all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.' I agree. For me, the summer vacation will provide me with a rare opportunity to take a well–deserved rest after a year of hard work. Last summer, I chose to engage in activities that would help me relax my mind and recoup not only my health but also my vitality. This summer will be no different. Towards this end, I plan to tour a number of amazing locations, read at least two interesting and/or informative books, and reflect on my accomplishments and failures so far.
The relevance of visiting places or locations one has never visited before cannot be overstated. In addition to helping relax the mind, travelling also carries with it some educational value. This summer, I plan to visit two major locations. These include the Niagara Falls and the National Mall and Memorial Parks. It is important to note that I settled on these two major travel destinations after undertaking a laborious research on the key attractions on–site. The National Mall and Memorial Parks is an amazing place to visit. According to the National Park Foundation (2012), "the National Mall is America's front yard where the Washington Monument, WWII and Lincoln Memorials stand." I have to admit that part of my desire to visit the National Mall and Memorial Parks stems from the great respect I have for Abraham Lincoln. In that regard, the Lincoln Memorial remains one of the places I plan to
Summer Vacation Essay
It was June 2nd, school was out, it's now summer vacation. Genesis' parents, Gregory and Raina, were taking a month off of work to spend it in New York. They had forgotten Genesis' and her siblings, Nikki and Marquise were going to be out of school at this time. So they had announced to them that they were going to New York with them. "Marquise, Genesis, Nikki, come down here and hear the good news" Gregory muttered. "Your mother and I have decided that you'll be attending New York with us for part of your summer vacation."
Marquise, Genesis, and Nikki all screamed with excitement. They all had to pack right away, because they were going to be leaving the next morning. They had packed and went to sleep. The next morning around 7:00 a.m they were heading out the door to catch a flight for 9:00. When they arrived at the airport it was full of hundreds of people leaving off for summer vacation. It took them forever to board onto the plane, because of the long wait. When taking flight, leaving California, the whole plane shouted in excitement. It was a successful take off, until.Until the plane started shaking, they were flying straight through a storm. "Thump thump thump" As the the rain pounded on the plane. The clouds were as black as the sky without a moon or any lights. " Everybody please remain calm", the pilot said. " Oxygen mask will be released, please tighten your seatbelt, and hold on tight. We will be through the storm
Narrative Essay About Summer Vacation
It was in third part of our summer vacation . We went to the park not far from where we use to live when we were younger I believe it was at least two or three blocks away from where we all lived. Whenever we went there we would always have to past thru this middle school and we go by the side of the school but there always these two rottweilers behind a fence barking and barking jumping on the fence trying to come at us but we were all use to it my little brother Austin was the main the trouble for Paul and me Steven. Any way as we walk there was this alley of the school where the trees would bridge in to each other creating a beautiful sight with a nice shade with a nice summer breeze that would blow straight into someone.
That monday morning I woke up and my friends and I thought we should play baseball that morning so I asked mom, "Can I go play baseball with my friends mom?"
Of course she said "Only If you take your two other brothers alright. "
"But mom."
"But Nothing. If you want to go you have to take your brothers. Now go wake your brothers if you want to go and tell them breakfast is ready as well." While cleaning the kitchen before she leaves to work

Descriptive Essay About Summer Vacation
Summer vacation! The beach! The mountains! Friends! Airplanes! Then, there was me with no plans, just drawing and eating, and other monotonous things, very repetitive. If someone asked, "What is something new and interesting you did this summer?" I would of had to reply with, "I tasted a new potato chip flavor, it was good. What did you do?", but that wasn't the case, because my parents then all of a sudden, in the very last minute scheduled a vacation, It was a three day vacation. The vacation consisted my family going to New Hampshire, Maine, then Boston. First of all, if you didn't know, New Hampshire is located South West from Maine. Go north, then wow! Hello Canada! Next, Maine is located South and a little West from New Brunswick, one of the provinces in Canada. Fun fact, Fredericton is the capital of News Brunswick! Lastly, Boston is Massachusetts' capital and largest city. Another fun fact, it's one of the oldest cities in the U.S. The people that are involved in the events are me, of course, others are my sister, mother, father, and the people of the inn and hotel. A delightful and enjoyable summer vacation! Our first stop, New Hampshire as I introduced it, it is South West from Maine, it's capital is Concord. When we first entered New Hampshire, there were buildings, students, and workers walking everywhere in different directions. It actually, sort of reminded me of New York City, of course New York City was more crowded, had more large buildings, and different, but still it reminded me of New York City. My family went to New Hampshire riding a car, so we had been in the car for seven hours. Well we kept driving North, the outside started to change, the buildings became less more common, then before I knew it there were trees in everywhere, just no trees on the path we drove on. There were yellow deer crossing signs ornamented the tall and green trees. Then when we arrived at the inn, I mean to go to the inn, we took like three stops to ask where this inn was. The inn was around trees, were we had to park the car was not the parking lot you would see normally. The parking lot had no lines to indicate where to park. It was just covered in small rocks as tiny pebbles, gravel, sand, and etc. The

I wake up to the sound of my alarm reminding me, today is the big day. Today is the day! It is May 31st, the start of our full month summer vacation. I myself, get up, turn my alarm off, and walk to the kitchen to have some breakfast. I had a feeling that today was going to be a superb day. Once I finished eating breakfast, I jumped into the shower, and started to get ready for what the day had in store for us. After, my shower, I got dressed, and finished getting ready for the trip. I made sure that I was all packed and ready to go for the drive ahead of us, and the long airplane ride later that day. During this trip, my family, and I are going to be visiting our out–of–state family members. My aunt Melissa, my cousin Bryce, and I are going to be visiting Florida, Ohio, and Illinois all in a one month vacation. This trip, was one of the best trips I could ever ask for. I love to travel, and see new places around the world. But, most of all I like to be with my family, creating new memories to hold on to for years to come.
To begin the summer vacation, on May 31st, my family and I drove to the Las Vegas airport to board the plane to Florida. After, four hours in the car driving, we finally arrived at the airport with just enough time to grab some lunch, and then board the plane. "You two kiddos ready?" asks Melissa. "Yes," Bryce and I state. With around three hours of a plane ride to get through I was already tired from all the driving. So luckily, I was able to sleep

Packing for Summer Vacation There is nothing I love more than going on a summer vacation with my family and friends. I like to lay on sweltering days by the pool side, eat delicious dinners, and party endlessly. Summer trips make memories for years to come. But, I cannot enjoy the beautiful scenery and experience the carefree attitudes without preparing for the trip proper packing preparation. Many travelers overlook the most crucial element of a trip: packing their suitcase. Packing is the simplest part of preparing for vacation: travelers throwing clothes and shoes into a bag and zipping it up. Yet, packing seems to cause the most chaos. Traveler's often forget chargers, misplace socks, and find out too late, nothing matches. The problem of not having space stems from over packing unnecessary items and exceeding the weight and size limits of luggage. I will teach travelers how to avoid disasters while packing for summer vacation. Summer vacation is a time for relaxation, not added stress and confusion. Not only do I need to take into consideration the size of the suitcase I will need, but also pack items appropriate to events I plan on attending during my trip. When I pack, I prioritize fitting all articles of clothing and pieces into my suitcase. When I take note of destination I want to visit and the activities available, create a checklist of all items needed for my destinations, and maximize space in my suitcase by organizing and getting clothing pieces that are interchangeable, I can ensure a stress–free packing experience for my summer vacation. When I think about summer holidays, my spending time in the water, partying, and enjoying nice dinners, is what first comes to mind. I always consider packing items appropriate to each activity. When I plan on swimming, I pack bathing suits, sandals, and towels. I consider the size of different items I will need and choose the appropriate size suitcase. For this reason, I have a separate bag for larger items like towels and shoes. When I move onto parties, I like to be comfortable; I will be dancing to the music and building relationships with other party goers, so I do not want to feel restricted. I pack clothing pieces like shirts,
My favorite season of the year is summer because of the warm weather, the school vacation, and the endless fun. I really enjoy the warm weather because it's the perfect atmosphere to do outdoor activities. My favorite part about summer has to be the fact that school is closed for two months. During summer, you're free to do whatever you want, not worrying about curfew or waking up early for school. Summer time is a great time to relax with friends and family by soaking up the sun at a beach or simply having dinner together.
I love the hot and humid days that makes you want to dive into a fresh and cold pool. When summer time starts, you can wear lighter clothes, which are much more comfortable. The weather allows people to go outdoors to...show more content...
The break calls for staying up late and waking up whenever you want to. Everyone works so hard during the school year, so they deserve that free time. Summer times are stress free, relaxing, and basically fun. You don't have to worry about homework, projects, and studying for a test. One of my favorite summer pastimes is staying up late watching movies and eating junk food, and then waking up late and having brunch.
Summer season is the best time for festivals and activities. You can never get bored on a summer day or night. During the day, there are fun activities such as: swimming, sports, picnics, and barbeques. Friends and family spend a lot of time together during the summer time. There is a lot of good food, drinks, and fun music. Everyone is laughing and having a good time. Summer evenings are the best time for concerts, movies, parties, and relaxing with friends. The summer evenings are beautiful because of the sparkly and glittery city lights. One of the best events of the year, July Fourth, happens during summer. The celebration of July fourth is very extravagant and glamorous. People gather around to celebrate and watch the display of fireworks. The vibrant colors and the loud sound of the fireworks are amazing.
Overall, summer is just a wonderful season with so much to offer. The best thing about this time of the year is that everyone is so happy, whereas, compared to the winter, everyone is
Descriptive Essay About Summer Vacation
In February during spring break, my Dad, nicknamed Moose, arranges a trip to stay on Seagull Lake. This is not like your ordinary trip; this is winter camping in the Boundary Waters, which requires hard work, the willingness to help out at all times, and a lot of preparation. This trip consists of cross country skiing, pulling 300 lbs on a sled across a long frozen lake, sleeping in tents in weather that is 20 degrees below zero, and portaging 2 miles to get the chance to fish on a secret fishing lake. The people that go on this 5 day trip every year are Moose, my second cousin Paul Gerten and his dog, my uncle Danny, their friend Sterling Black, and I, although Danny had knee issues for a while which didn't allow him to come this trip. The year was 2016, and Sterling decided to bring his nephew named Birkley, whose mother had just passed away. Also, Moose brought along his work friend Brett Strand from Lifetime Fitness.
We start our trip by driving up to my cabin in Silver Bay, Minnesota. The first night is a Thursday night without the old men's wives, so we go to a bar called the the Green Door where the men drink a bunch of beers and watch the wild game. Birkley and I of course only drink Coca Cola. Being the one out of the group that is too young to drink alcohol, and also the kid that can drive, I have to sober cab for the men. When we get back to the cabin, many games of cribbage are played and many more beers are finished by the men. Waking up in the morning is
My Summer Vacation in Florida Essay
Have you ever been on a vacation? To me a vacation is a time to be with friends or family. When I think of vacations, I think of packing, the flight or drive, and relaxation. Not only is it very exciting to go on a vacation, but you get closer to the people that go with you.
Linda, my best friend's mom had asked me if I would want to go with their family to Florida. When she asked me I thought she was kidding, but when she said, "I need to know because if you are I need to get you a airplane ticket," I knew she was serious. I was so excited I could have kissed her. I was going to Florida with my best friend, Lisa, and her family. The people from Lisa's family that were going were Tina, Randy, Ashley, and Linda. Although the drive was three hours the time went fast before I knew it we were at the airport.
I had never been on an airplane. My stomach felt like I had just eaten rotten fish and I was about to throw up. I was so excited to go, but at the same time I was scared because I had never been on a plane. We waited in the airport for at least an hour. Finally our flight was called, as I walked on the plane my heart was about to jump out of my skin. After the flight attendant had went through all the rules and we put our seat belts on the plane was going to take off. I thought the worst thing about the flight was taking off and landing. I didn?t like taking off and landing because my ears popped. Other than the fact that my ears popped taking off and landing the flight went smooth, we didn?t crash. When the plane landed, I couldn?t wait to stand on solid ground again.
When I got off the plane the first thing I saw was a giant palm tree. It wasn?t like the palm trees you see in pictures. This palm tree was kind of ugly it was about thirty feet tall, the leaves at the top looked like they were dead, and it was leaning to the right. Other than that palm tree it was a beautiful day. It was ninety seven degrees, but it didn?t feel like Minnesota?s ninety seven degrees because there wasn?t much humidity. Before we could leave we had to wait for

Do you know the reason why we have summer vacation? I believe that summer vacation is not just about sleeping in and appreciating the time off, it includes spending time with your close friends and family, and that is exactly what I did this summer break. There were many fascinating things I did this summer and in this essay I will tell you a few of things I enjoyed doing.
Spending time with close relatives and is exactly what I did to kickoff my summer even though massive amount of them lived out of the state Indiana going to Seattle, Mexico, Texas, and Virginia. For that rest of the day we went to a restaurant called Puckett's and apparently it is right down the road from Justin Timberlake's recording studio/private house, All of the kids including me went to his front and touched his door knob and I might of took a sneak peek inside his house. The last day we were there we visited a beautiful waterfall, even though it was a lovely site the water part was very deadly. The reason why it was deadly was there were big boulders everywhere you stepped, and there were water moccasins which are venomous snakes that lurked around in the water. When it was time to live the waterfall a water moccasin was about 20 feet in front of me and my friends, thankfully another guy ran into the water scaring the snake away making it safe for me and my buddies to get out. Honestly out of the whole entire summer this had to be my favorite vacation.
This next vacation isn't really a vacation it's more of an event but it was fun, hilarious, and relaxing like a vacation. After Tennessee we went seven days later we went to Detroit, Michigan for this thing called a muck fest. A muck fest is 5k with muddy obstacles that you run into on your way to the finish line. The race only lasted 2 hours for my mom, dad, and other family members to finish. The best part was when I was able to do the last three obstacles and get

Summer Vacation Essay The most eventful thing that I have done this summer was to go and visit the Indianapolis Zoo. I had a really great time especially in hindsight. There were tons of amazing animals and I got to see some relatives of mine. It was a very long and eventful day even more so when you compare it to the rest of my summer. I'd even go as far to say the drive there and back alone was enough to make this the most eventful day of the summer! That day I woke up and did my normal morning routine; I took a relaxing hot shower, used the restroom, ate breakfast (yum), brushed my teeth, then I opened my bedroom closet to choose my outfit and get dressed for the eventful day to come. I then left my room to see a frantic mess of my siblings and mom getting ready for the trip. Now naturally I was told we were going to the zoo last night, however with my terrible memory (my memory is most definitely not something to be proud about...) I forget about the whole entire ordeal. After overhearing my two sisters screaming and fighting about getting dressed, I thought to myself "How is it that there room is much bigger than ours"(my brother and I share a room and so do my two sisters) "and yet they fight over getting dressed in it twice as much as we do?". Then I suddenly remembered that today was the trip to the zoo. I then went to go put on sunscreen because I already had a bad experience with sunburns earlier in the summer (ouch). After applying a nice coat of sunscreen I was ready minuets before my two sisters were (as always). Now the drive there wasn't too eventful, but it was nice to see the scenery of Indianapolis; I saw statues, gigantic fountains, and skyscrapers ( the next one always seemed to always stretch higher than the last). As soon as we made it to the zoo my family and I promptly went inside to use the bathrooms (which had some cool animal art on the stalls). Afterwards there was a bird show where the birds flew around and did some tricks. I thought to myself "This is a little gimmicky." but it was still fun. Then I suddenly noticed pair familiar faces approaching us, It was my oldest sister (who is a adult and no longer lives with us) and her 2 year old son (They arrived late as always...).
Essay on My Summer Vacation
When I was ten years old my Father took me to Universal Studios in Orlando Florida during summer vacation. It is one of the most memorable experiences of my life. It was my first time on an airplane, so I was a little nervous. It felt like forever while we sat in the plane waiting to take off. Finally, I heard the pilot say "prepare for take off." I'll admit I was a little scared, but as the plane lifted off the runway, I was ok. The plane ride there was three hours long. It was a little bumpy, but other then that, everything went well. We landed in Orlando. The airport was gigantic. After walking for a while, we found the baggage claim. It took us a while to find all of our suitcases. We rented a car and drove to my...show more content...
My cousin Audrey saw how many times it went upside–down and decided not go on. Brandon and I made fun of her, but once I was strapped to my seat, I was having second thoughts myself. We took off in what felt like a fraction of a second. Before I knew it, I was being whipped around sharp turns and flipped around loops. It was so much fun! When we got off and walked toward the exit, we saw a wall of television screens, which was showing candid shots of us on the ride. We both looked terrified. It was hilarious. My mom still has the picture. We went on a few more rides and then stopped to get something to eat. Now it was my turn to pick a ride. We walked to one called Dr. Dooms Fear Fall. We sat down in a row of four, with our legs dangling. After a few minutes, the voice of Dr. Doom was heard. I don't remember exactly what he said, but I do remember him saying " Prepare to Die!" All of a sudden we shot up 150 feet into the air and then pushed back down faster then gravity. We thought it was over, but it shot us up again. It was a very exhilarating experience. The day was coming to an end. Audrey picked the last ride. She chose the Dueling Dragons. It was a double track, near–miss roller coaster. You had a choice between fire and ice. My Dad and I chose fire, and My Uncle Joe, Brandon and Audrey chose ice. We started off fast, going down a straightaway, heading right for each other. Then both coasters tore up with a series of twists,
