I am writing to express my interest in the Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in STEM (stem, technology, engineering and mathematics) program that begins in August.
I currently hold a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Engineering Technology from Prairie View A&M University. My GPA from Prairie View A&M University wasn't my best work. At that time, I was young and on my own for the first time and I lived life as a young person. Prior to attending Prairie View A&M University, I was dedicated on receiving excellent grades in school, because of my hard work I graduated from high school number three in my class. In college, I made mistakes and learned from those mistakes. I was so elated to be the first person in my family to graduate from college. My interest in teaching led me to complete a teacher's deficiency plan from Texas Southern University. At Texas Southern University, my GPA is 3.88 which is a true reflection of my ability to successfully complete a challenging educational program. Issues with manual admission process
When students select a college, they have already spend huge amounts of time in the search, selection, and recruitment process. Once students are ready to complete the enrollment process they expect a flawless process. Unfortunately, barriers such as lack of knowledge, time constraints, language barriers and time zone difference compound an already stressful experience.

The world in which I was raised in compares to no other, thus has shaped my personal attributes and dreams in a drastic way. From living in a city with a bad reputation as well as family that was gang affiliated; my parents knew that moving into an altered neighborhood would help shape me into the individual I would need to become successful and unique in my on way. From living in Watts and then moving to Lynwood I can say my stabilized home has given me a sense of appreciation towards my parents' hard work to provide for my sibling and I. This sense of appreciation motivates me to push myself to surpass any boundaries and strive for excellence and none the less. With that thought, knowing the hardships and obstacles my parents conquered, the sky is my only limit and with college much more can be achieved, especially with the motivation I have to succeed. Living in a dominantly Hispanic community, many of my peers as well as friends and family have fallen under stereotypes that are used to categorize Hispanics. Many people, even family doubt I will be accepted to a University that is why I will use this accomplishment as an inspiration for me to demonstrate I can prove people wrong. College Admissions Essay: A Dream Job
Ever since I was about 7 years old, I loved seeing people smile, laugh, just overall feel good. Going out of my way to make sure they have everything they need, or feeling healthy and satisfied was, and still is my top priority. However, emotionally aiding them has always been what I prefer, and enjoy the most. How our minds work, and knowing what makes people do what they do has never failed to fascinate me. Working with other people with the same interests as me, analyzing the minds of extreme criminals, and at the same time giving their victims the justice they deserve by ensuring their attacker was caught would be everything I could ever ask for. Which is why my dream job would be to work in the BAU (Behavior Analysis Unit) for the FBI. Let's start from the beginning, when I very first had career options pop into my mind at only 8 years of age. I remember from before my mom passed away when I was 6; she was a psychiatrist, and always helping people however she could. I admired this in her, and even more so now that I can actually comprehend just how much she did for everyone that came to her. At first, I had my mind set on being a genetic engineer, but I have grown, and my interests have changed. Now I know I want to carry out an aspect of what my mother did, follow in...show more content...

I have always been certain that whatever path I do take, whether it be the BAU or not, it will be based off a branch of science. It is what really has always, without fail, had my full attention and I'm positive that will never

I was born in Ecuador, but I have lived most of my life in the United States. I knew where I stood in American society as a D.A.C.A, first–generation and low–income student. Thus, my commitment to work with education–related issues is the result of my personal, academic, and professional journey. It's my belief that children deserve a quality education regardless of their economic background. For this reason my career goal is to establish an organization that will break barriers and limitations for students in disadvantaged socioeconomic and sociopolitical communities. To successfully undertake this career path, I must further expand my knowledge in education and enhance my problem solving skills in the field of education. The only program that could offer me such opportunity is the Education Management program at King's College London.

In particular, I am interested in learning from Professor Becky Francis, whose research on education inequality I find it fascinating. I was personally captivated by her paper "What would a socially just education system look like?" where Francis and Mills provide not only an analysis of education but also possible principles for a socially just education system. To me the paper mentioned above shows her genuine passion in issues of educational inequality and it constructs alternative solutions for issues in education. Her research was very informative, inspirational and, in my case, relatable to the condition of education in Latin

I would've never predicted how amazing the effects of my visit to the nursing home would be. After greeting the elderly and holding conversations with each and every one of them, I was amazed by how appreciative they were for my visit. Perhaps they felt lonely or abandoned before, but now tears of joy glistened in their eyes. Maybe all people need is to know they are cared for, even by a simple stranger. Moreover, I was stunned by the optimism they had for their future, even at old age. They were so youthful in spirit, regardless of their frail bodies. They were selfless enough to tell me to take care of myself, even if they were the ones in wheelchairs. It taught me that happiness can exist, even at old age, regardless of discouraging circumstances or diminishing

It's absolutely electrifying to be on that field during your senior year when you know this is your last chance to make things happen. Everyone knows their job once the game starts. If everyone that is on that field does there job and sticks to their responsibilities we would be fine. If the team plays with their heart even when things go bad and not point fingers but instead work as a team and don't give up you will succeed. College Admissions Essay: My Passion
When people would say "My hobby is this," or "My passion is that," I would wonder how he or she found an activity that they could completely devote themselves to. I always thought that I would immediately know what my passion or hobby was when I encountered it. For me, it happened to be music. My passion for music, however, didn't come immediately; music wasn't something that I said to myself, "This is it. I've found my passion in life." The piano wasn't like that at all.
When I started to play the piano, you could say that I wasn't its biggest fan. In fact, I hated it. I remember my eyes swimming across the page, lost in a sea of little black dots. I mumbled endless mnemonic tricks to try to read the notes. Now, at fifteen, nobody has to force me to practice anymore. Out of my own accord, I take several hours out of every day to pursue this art that I've been chasing for ten years. I enjoy it, I live in it, and it has become an inseparable part of me. This art has taken me places and introduced me to people I would never have met without music.
