Essay About Cafeteria
A cafeteria is a place wherein you can choose the food you want and buy it. In a cafeteria there is a big variety of food to choose from. You can eat the food that you bought from the cafeteria or that you brought from home in the dining area of the cafeteria. I have been studying in FEU Diliman for two semesters now and I have noticed how the cafeteria is for these two semesters.
As a college student of FEU Diliman, I must say that there should be a lot of changes in the cafeteria of our school. Our cafeteria should have a larger variety of foods to choose from. The variety of foods that are in our cafeteria every day is not much and people would opt to buy food from outside the school instead. They should make more food to sell everyday since there are a lot of elementary, high school and college students buying food from the cafeteria everyday. The cafeteria should sell foods that have proper protein and that are nutritious. They should also sell food that has vegetables because it is healthy for example they could make vegetable stew. Different types of fruits should also be sold because sometimes the students wants to buy fruits but the cafeteria person says that the fruits are only for the varsity players. Varsity players and students don't have a...show more content...
In my opinion they should not sell soft drinks at all at the cafeteria. If college students want to buy soft drinks they can buy it from outside the school instead. Elementary and high school students would get tempted to buy soft drinks because they see it in the cafeteria but they can't so they would buy it outside the school instead. Soft drinks are not good to drink because they contain a lot of sugar in them and the student might become hyper or have a lot of energy because of that. If the student will buy the soft drink at school he or she might become addicted to drinking it because of the
Reflection About Service
Service is a work of will. Throughout our lives, we complete service that may be unknown to us. Service does not always mean doing things for a time frame for a signed paper to turn into school, but service could mean even the smaller things from helping an injured student to their classroom or offering help to a teacher carrying too many things. Throughout my almost three years at DePaul College Prep, I have completed my service requirements, but I also found the things I did enjoyable; I did not feel forced to do most of the service that I did. I would really like to believe the service that I completed helped others, along with the community, but the more important aspect of the service completed was that it opened my eyes to a greater good and allowed me to give more of myself to others than to focus solely on myself.
My freshman year was kind of a blur. Most of the things that happened that year seemed to have faded away mostly because it was the easiest year, so far, that I had experienced. If I do recall correctly, I did my service by helping out the elementary girls volleyball leagues held at the gymnasium at my high school. This was known as the Spring Little League, and there, I helped to referee a couple games, and I also helped with admissions and scores. I was able to offer my time and efforts to these young girls playing, along with my own Coach, Coach Tony. I learned that everything was better with numbers. I was helping out Coach Tony with my whole team, and
The Meaning of Service Essay
The Meaning of Service
Service is a word used constantly. The word service has an impression on many people. For example; people who work as lifeguards view their work as a service to the community. Naturally, based on working as a lifeguard their definition of service would be an action beneficial to the well–being of others. Not surprisingly, a similar definition was found in the Oxford English Dictionary (OED). Service is described in the Oxford English Dictionary as "the action of serving, helping, or benefiting; conduct tending to the welfare or advantage of another; condition or employment of a public servant; friendly or professional assistance." Furthermore, in Webster's Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary, service is...show more content...
A service berry is "any one of various American trees or shrubs of the genus Amelanchier" (Dictionary of Americanisms). The second definition was one many may not have recognized right away. Service is "public worship according to form and order" (OED). After people read this they think, of course! People are always saying "are you going to attend service on Sunday?" Many immediately think the word service means providing for another and completely forget by attending mass they are performing a service to a higher being.
Becoming so firmly planted in one definition of service people tend to ignore its other uses. A strong attachment to one definition or another can be attributed to working as a lifeguard or work with other programs like YouVote. With YouVote, participants are helping and benefitting others by providing them with information important to upcoming elections. By providing people with information it helps them along their way to making an educated decision when they vote. Working with YouVote has helped to extend the definition of service to all persons who help or serve others like; waitresses, teachers, lifeguards, doctors, lawyers, coaches, and the government. The government continuously provides "service" to our country, or at least they try. The many readings in WRA135 class have shown the government needs to provide more service to those in need like all those living below the poverty line and/or on
Customer Service Essay examples
Companies are misguided nowadays by the notion that customers depend on them, when the truth of the matter is that companies are dependent on those customers. Customer satisfaction and customer loyalty is now essential for a business or company to survive. So what is the difference between customer satisfaction and customer loyalty and how to companies and or business achieve this? Also when you have difficult customers how do you achieve customer satisfaction?
It's essential that companies or businesses today listen to their customers. No company or business today can afford to disregard the importance of customer satisfaction and loyalty. Aren't they the same thing? No, they are absolutely not and they are enormously...show more content...
Customer loyalty is much harder to obtain that customer service satisfaction. The most important first step is to satisfy the customer by meeting their expectations. Customers only give a company one chance and if they aren't satisfied they will not do business with that company again, as well as tell others of their experience. The next step would be to exceed the customer's expectations. If a business goes above and beyond to assist the customer they begin to build loyalty. The next step is to truly surprise the customer. In order to dominate the marketplace the company must find a way to make them selves stand out with their product or service, accompanied with phenomenal customer service. Once this has been done customer satisfaction and loyalty will be gained. "Acquiring a new customer can cost four or five times more than keeping a current customer" (Bestmark, 2013). So it's essential to keep the current customer's happy and coming back for more.
Some of the ways that businesses can build loyalty would be by offering loyalty programs, Interacting with customers, surveys, creating institutional ties, and personalized marketing. Another way to build loyalty is to treat your employees so well that they treat your customers well. If you have happy employees they will treat your customers happy. "The link between satisfaction and loyalty however is not proportional" (Kotler, Keller, 2009, p71), so businesses must
Day Care Essay
In today's society the majority of households have a family dynamic where both parents need to work. It is nearly impossible for most families in America to survive financially without two incomes. This puts many parents in a situation where they have to find extra help to watch their children while they are away at work. "These days couples face complex negotiations over work, family, child care, and housekeeping. It becomes evident that where traditional marriage through the centuries has been a partnership based on mutual dependency, modern marriage demands greater self–sufficiency" (Hekker). Day care becomes a necessity for many families, and the main concern for most parents is if the day care will be a positive experience for their...show more content...
In addition, these children become confident in their own skills and thus, more self–reliant" (Cerbasi). Being self–sufficient is a positive attribute that any individual can learn in their lives, and that is a very good quality that an individual can learn especially at a very young age. In life it is healthy to make lasting relationships, and to socialize with other people. It is important that children are given the opportunity to be around other children so that they can acquire vital communication and social skills. "Even with siblings, you can't match the opportunities for social interaction that a child has at day care in the home. Your child will be placed in a class with children close in age and have opportunities to play and negotiate with peers each day" (Cerbasi). My daughter is 3 years old and she is an only child. Day care is something that I would love to put our child in, because for just even a couple hours a week she can be around other children and have a socialization experience she will emotionally need while being around others her own age. This is a valuable experience that we can't give her at home. Doctor Heins suggests, "Play is very important, but the serious aspect is that we have to get along in a social structure" (Burgess). For parents with only one child, day care can be a great option for a place where their child will be able to socialize with other children their own age, enabling the

Modern technology has set the stage for today's industries to adopt faster, more effective and efficient tools to improve their business and productivity. A vast majority of organizations within various industries are using new technology to introduce changes to their business operations. Simply stated, these changes are manifested in what they do, with whom they do it, how they do it, and the tools they use to get it done. However, it is worthwhile to note that, while technology can offer...show more content...
Changes in how banks are providing their service has affected, and will continue to affect hiring practices, as more online services become available, demanding the need to employ computer specialists.
Online banking is also changing the way banks market their products. Customers are not just seeing the new interest rate offer for opening a one–year CD or money market account, on an easel as they walk into their local branch. Today's banker sees the ad on a flashing banner as they launch their bank's website. Banks also advertise various types of loans, investment accounts and insurance products that are easy to purchase or open with an online application. The growing use of new credit scoring software allows banks to advertise a guaranteed answer or 24 hour approval on such applications. E–tools for conducting such services have completely changed old banking processes, and provide new, more convenient ways of banking, that Banks are using to lure customers into their business.
The customer's of online banking reap many benefits from the added convenience of online banking, but the nature of banking has completely changed and requires new skills. For instance, basic personal computer skills are a must for bankers wanting to enter the online banking world. Bankers will now need to be able to maneuver through the numerous tabs, buttons and icons on their computers, to be able to access their accounts, and complete transactions. Officials
Call Center Essay
Why You Are Able to Trust an Outsourced Call Center With Your Support Services
An outsourced call center will help you with advice for any issues, and will add to the range of exchanges with clients. Large companies, however efficient they may be, have the need for service providers combining teams trained to deal professionally with any situation, the mastery of abundant technological innovations and a seamless organization combining the two as closely as possible to the needs of each client. The evolution of the call center sector is changing the paradigms.
You may worry, "How can the vertiginous turnover often experienced by this profession leave any chance of success in ambitious client relations policies?" Outsourced call centers...show more content...
Therefore, wages are, of course, usually a majority of the expenses of service providers. Reducing them would save commercial costs, but may also negatively impact all the brand's customers. Also, view this link for more data: https://www.cgsinc.com/en/bpo–guide–how–to–outsource
To do this, you must involve both proven commercial skills and experienced commercial leadership. But who believes that by hurriedly recruiting, waiting for immediate results, training too fast and too little, exerting constant pressure on their teams and paying too low a salary, one has the slightest chance of getting a quality image and satisfied customers? The first issue, as we have seen, is the limitation of cost.
To solve this difficulty, the solution is to set up an outsourced call center sales team and not a single self–sufficient individual. Professionalize your business. Whether you create your outsourced call center sales force or reinforce it punctually on a new market sector, you can not afford to have an amateur approach.
Good Commercial Outsourcing
A good professional outsourcing center enables regular and comprehensive communication of the information obtained from prospects and customers. Outsourcing allows you to quickly implement the right skills when you need them, with the volume of intervention you need. Finally, service providers
Reflection Of Creative Writing
It is my belief that through this class and the tools provided, that my growth as a writer has grown through leaps and bounds I would never have assumed possible. It is not so much the skill I refer to, although I would think skill has gone up in some levels as well, but more so the appreciation for the craft of writing itself. Intially, at the start of this class my sole goal was to further my understanding and appreciation of the writer's and books that I so love to read. Through further evaluation within the first week, a few other goals came to mind, of which were, making writing a habit, finishing what I start, stop second guess my writing skills and making effective use of detail and description. Through the use of the many articles, various reading materials, whether poems or short stories, and especially through the workshop, I feel I was able to really push myself to accomplishing these goals. I have thus far learned how important it is not to be skilled at writing per say, but to have the will to write, that poetry is as much about it's sound as it is about it's subject, just how important character development is, how the narration and point of view of a story is essential to the way the story is told, and just how much of a difference peer's critiques can make to your writing.
Since before the beginning of this creative writing course, I have always struggled to find a point to writing. By this, I mean that I always felt that having great skill and talent was what was required to be a writer, let alone a great one. From this point, I felt there was no need to continue my writing as I felt that in a sense it just wasn't good enough. However, reading the article "A Way of Writing", I found new hope. Here was a writer who says things such as "I must be willing to fail. If I am to keep on writing, I cannot bother to insist on high standards. I must get into action and not let anything stop me, or even slow me much"(Stafford) and quotes that writers don't necessarily have any special talent. The article "Why I Write" instilled further optimism through the authors view on just being a writer, not focusing on being good or bad. I found her words in which she writes "entirely to find out what I'm
Essay on The Internet and Its Services
The Internet and Its Services
Working with Internet does not mean just browsing www and sending and receiving e–mails. The Basic Structure of the Internet was developed through last 30 years of existence of the Internet. The Internet is a heterogeneous worldwide network consisting of a large number of host computers and local area networks. The Internet uses the TCP/IP suite of protocols. This allows the integration of a large number of different computers into one single network with highly efficient communication between them. This way, the user can access information on all kinds of host computers from a desktop PC, Macintosh, or whatever he/she has available. In the second group, the user turns to the Internet–service in search for some particular information. Communication services can roughly be compared to a telephone call, information services to a dictionary .The most important communication services on the Internet are electronic mail, Netnews and some derived services. Major information services are terminal emulation and file transfer, Gopher, WAIS, and World Wide Web.
Electronic mail is the most popular and widely used network service. It can be viewed as the electronic equivalent to a regular mail letter. When one user wants to send a message to another Internet user, he types the message into a special computer program, adds the e–mail address of the recipient, and sends the message off through the network. Typically, the message reaches its destination almost immediately, even when it is on another continent. Practically all gateways between the Internet and other computer networks can handle e–mail messages. Therefore, many more people can be reached by e–mail than are connected to the Internet via TCP/IP. The major advantage of e–mail over regular mail is that an e– mail message comes in electronic form. Therefore, it can easily be handled and interpreted by a computer program. This feature is use by electronic discussion lists. They operate a database of subscribers and each incoming e–mail message is automatically distributed to each
