Types of Friends Essay
There are a lot of important things in life. However, one of the most important things for people to survive in this world is friendship. Without friendship, people can die of loneliness. What do you think about your friends? Do you like your friends? There are a lot of different types of friends. There are friends that I like and some friends with whom I do not get along. Friends with positive characteristics such as reliable, trustworthy and faithful whom I usually get along with are the one that tend to have more friends and the negative one whom I usually not get along with tend to be alone. However, friends with negative characteristic can also give us some good examples of seeing double sides of something, like, a character can be...show more content...
They can learn to get some confidence because confidence is really important in order to perform better. Being an overconfident person is also beneficial, as we won't get nervous easily and our performances will be better. This kind of person isn't scared to take some risks as they have trust and confidence in themselves. This kind of person has potential to be a really successful person in the future. I have a friend that is really confident that when he performed for a speech competition at school, he can speak fluently without any hesitation that made him the winner of the competition. We can learn a lot from this kind of person. I learn that correct proportion of something, even the thing we take as something bad, before, can turn into something good. We have to be able to measure how confident we can be while with friends and when the confidence is really needed. Being a competitive person can be advantageous, as this kind of person wants to be the best in everything. As they want to be the best in everything, they will work and study harder than any other people. They will try as hard as they can to be the best. As a result, they will get good marks on test or get an extremely good job in the future. It is beneficial for them. For Example: I know that being a competitive person can be advantageous as I have a friend that is competitive. She is so competitive that in every test, she will study as hard as she can. In every test, she managed to get the best scores
Four Types of Measurement Scales
Introduction There are four measurement scales, or types of data, nominal, ordinal interval and ratio. These four measurements are simple ways to categorize different types of variables. This paper will discuss the usage of each scale.
Nominal
Nominal scales are the most commonly used in marketing research. Nominal scales are used for labeling variables, without any quantitative value. In fact, Nominal scales could be called "labels". Nominal are categories with numbers assigned to them to facilitate analysis. "A nominal scale partitions data into categories that are mutually exclusive and collectively exhaustive, implying that every bit of data will fit into one and only one category and that all data will fit somewhere on the...show more content...

Conclusion It's important to recognize that there is a hierarchy implied in the level of measurement idea. At lower levels of measurement, assumptions tend to be less restrictive and data analyses tend to be less sensitive. At each level up the hierarchy, the current level includes all of the qualities of the one below it and adds something new. In general, it is desirable to have a higher level of measurement (e.g., interval or ratio) rather than a lower one (nominal or
Advantages And Disadvantages Of Research Design
This chapter comprises the research design, population, data collection, data analysis and data validity and reliability. It highlights on the research design and methodology of the research study used in gathering information, how it was designed and represented. Additionally, it illustrates the area of examination relative to those interviewed. Furthermore, it demonstrates why the Kumasi metropolis was chosen, literature source, data collection techniques, research purpose and data analysis. We therefore analyzed the information received from Small and medium scale enterprises in the Kumasi metropolis. It is the structure of any scientific work. It gives direction and any systematic approach to the research. Like any other phenomenon, no research design is perfect on itself. Different type of research design has different advantages and disadvantages (Blakstad 2015). Thus research design is defined as an overall plan for research undertaking. Research design provides the solution that holds the research project together
However, research can manage and avert these advantages and disadvantages to minimize their ramifications. In tandem with the research questions and accompanying objectives, the study adopted the survey approach (personal interviews).
This section focuses on the technics adopted and used for this study with the aim of achieving the research objectives. Descriptive research design adopted in this study. Cooper (2003) observed that descriptive studies are structured with clearly stated questions to be investigated. The descriptive design was selected in this study because it would allow the research to gather numerical and descriptive data to assess the relationship between the variables.

Types of Competition
Economic theory usually differentiates across the four major types of market structure: monopoly, oligopoly, monopolistic competition, and perfect competition. Although the list of market structures can be virtually unlimited, these four types are considered to be the basis for understanding the principles of market performance in different market conditions. Each of the four types of market structures possesses its benefits and drawbacks. In any of these markets, an entrepreneur can develop a strategy appropriate for conquering a part of the market niche. Although for many entrepreneurs monopoly seems an excellent choice (no competitors and full control over the product and its price), in reality it is monopolistic competition that...show more content...
In perfect competition, no barriers to entry or exit exist, and firms are free to move across their markets. Certainly, perfect competition seems a perfect choice for customers, while monopoly will seem like a perfect choice for entrepreneurs – no competition, full price control, and full control over the product assortment. However, as an entrepreneur, I would rather choose monopolistic competition. My choice is justified by several reasons. Fist of all, monopoly prevents entrepreneurs from entering the market, while monopolistic competition markets are free for entry, and as an entrepreneur I may enter any market I deem appropriate and effective in terms of maximizing my profits. Second, monopoly does give some control over prices and product assortment, but in the current world, customers always seek to diversify the range of products they use. Monopoly does not leave any chance for differentiation, and as an entrepreneur I will always want to have several different products that will be sold to several different groups of consumers. Finally, it is due to the fact that competition drives innovation and gives me sufficient stimuli for growth that I can make my business grow. As such, in conditions of monopolistic competition I may have fewer opportunities for maximizing my profits for the sake of full control over prices and assortment, but I am more confident that my business will grow for the account of better customer satisfaction

It's hard to believe that it's already time for Midterms in my English 101 class. The adventure has been a lot easier than I at first anticipated. In any case, I am happy that I am taking the class and learning from it. In the beginning it appeared somewhat hard however I was resolved to compel my way through this class regardless of what difficulties I needed to persevere.
On the first day of my English 101 class I was apprehensive, I had no clue what's in store from the class. As I discovered what the class would have been similar to, I let myself know I was going to attempt to get an B or higher toward the end of the semester and put all the exertion I had into each paper I kept in touch with, I was not going to set this class aside for later and linger like I use to do. These aptitudes may empower me to enjoy additionally composing and not need to stress over having a written assignment.
This course has helped me with many chances to figure out how to properly write papers. Prior to this class, I had little experience with how to build a legitimate paper. It has taken experience, and getting normal evaluations, to show me how to precisely write. Despite the fact that this course required different papers to be turned in, I am appreciative to have possessed the capacity to gain from my oversights and develop as a writer. I have constantly cherished written work, however now I am ready to improve my writing as the semester
Types of Rocks
Types of Rocks
Geologists classify rocks in three groups, according to the major Earth processes that formed them. The three rock groups are igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks. Anyone who wishes to collect rocks should become familiar with the characteristics of these three rock groups. Knowing how a geologist classifies rocks is important if you want to transform a random group of rock specimens into a true collection.
Igneous rocks are formed from melted rock that has cooled and solidified. When rocks are buried deep within the Earth, they melt because of the high pressure and temperature; the molten rock (called magma) can then flow upward or even be erupted from a volcano onto the Earth's surface. When magma cools slowly,...show more content...
Scuba divers who have seen mud and shells settling on the floors of lagoons find it easy to understand how sedimentary rocks form.
Sometimes sedimentary and igneous rocks are subjected to pressures so intense or heat so high that they are completely changed. They become metamorphic rocks, which form while deeply buried within the Earth's crust. The process of metamorphism does not melt the rocks, but instead transforms them into denser, more compact rocks. New minerals are created either by rearrangement of mineral components or by reactions with fluids that enter the rocks. Some kinds of metamorphic rocks––granite gneiss and biotite schist are two examples––are strongly banded or foliated. (Foliated means the parallel arrangement of certain mineral grains that gives the rock a striped appearance.) Pressure or temperature can even change previously metamorphosed rocks into new types.
Rock–forming and rock–destroying processes have been active for billions of years. Today, in the Guadalupe Mountains of western Texas, one can stand on limestone, a sedimentary rock, that was a coral reef in a tropical sea about 250 million years ago. In Vermont's Green Mountains one can see schist, a metamorphic rock, that was once mud in a shallow sea. Half Dome in Yosemite Valley, Calif., which now stands nearly 8,800 feet above sea level, is composed of quartz monzonite, an igneous rock that solidified several thousand feet within the
Essay On Types Of Robots
4. Types Of Robots
Robotics is a very wide and broad area, as it comprises of different fields and has been adapted by many professional bodies including defense, medicine, agriculture, automobile, aeronautics, etc. This is why there are no specific types of robots. Hence, we cannot categorically say these are the types of robots because types of robots are measured in terms of their use, functions, environment and location system they possess [14, 17, 34]. Thus, here are the basic types of robots viz: Stationary robots, wheeled robots, legged robots, Vehicle robots, Cloud robots, and Nano robots.
A. Stationary Robots
These are types of robots which are considered static, meaning they do not move or change position during operation. Some of them include surgical robots which are often found in hospitals. Another category...show more content...
Wheeled Robots
These types of robots are said to be locomotive in nature. They change their position with the help of wheels, which make it easier for them to move from one place to another. Some of their examples include single wheel robots, two wheel, and military robots and so on.
C. Legged robots
These robots are considered the most complex and sophisticated when it comes to locomotion. They are also known as mobile robots as they can move from place to place on a very quick speed. They are often characterized by having legs and arms which support their movement or allow them to get up when they fall down. The most common legged robots in this category are the popular humanoid robots, military robots, and domestic or household robots [34].
D. Vehicle Robots
This category of robot is considered as one of the largest of all, they include those robots which cover far distance. They have such locomotive components that could endure any kind of environment, be it rocky areas, deserts, water or even space. Example of these robots include
Space robots – ones used in the space by NASA

There are four types of paragraphs we write. They include: narrative, informative, descriptive, and persuasive. All paragraphs have certain elements, but the four types are also different from one another in how they are composed. Look at the outline about paragraphs in general.
All paragraphs:
1. It has a strong beginning, or introduction sentence, which states the main idea clearly.
2. It has several supporting sentences which make up the body, and support the main idea. All sentences in the supporting details should back up, or point to, that main idea. The details should be strong and vivid. The sentence structure and length should vary.

All that was left was the bathroom and my bedroom. I snuck into the bedroom, wielding the sharp knife in terror, and bent over to look under the bed. No one was there. I silently released my breath and turned toward the closet. I opened the closet carefully and switched on the light. Again, no one was there. I had one place left to look: the bathroom. This was probably the hardest place, because I had seen too many movies where someone was hiding in the shower. Nonetheless, I crept into the tiny bathroom and flipped on the light switch. The navy blue shower curtain hung there concealing whatever fate lay before me. I reached my hand out toward the curtain, paused a moment, steeling myself and summoning the last of my courage, and committed myself to the search. I grabbed the edge of the curtain and whipped it back in a flash, preparing myself to use the knife on the fiend hiding in there. I trembled as the knife dropped out of my hand. No one was there. Relief flooded me so strongly that I nearly crumpled to the floor. Later, after I had called my boyfriend back, he remembered that he had gone by the apartment while I was gone and dropped off a book I was reading. I had forgotten that he had a key. He had forgotten he'd been there and closed the door. That was one wild homecoming!

The Four Types Of Social Stratification
Division is something that has been around since the beginning of time. No one is alike, and there are many things that differentiate us. We all know our place in the world and what groups we fit into; this is because of social stratification. Stratification is how society organizes itself. (Larkin, 2015). Social stratification ranks people based on their wealth, power, race, gender, education, etc. (Larkin, 2015). Over time there has seemed to be four main systems of stratification. Within these systems, there are also more divisions based on race, education, and gender.
Social stratification has historically been made up of four main systems: slavery, caste, estate, and class (Larkin, 2015). Each system has its own mobility, with slavery being the most closed and class the most open. Slavery was due to either heredity misfortune or military conquest (Larkin, 2015). Slavery was unique from the other systems because slaves were treated as the property of their owners. Additionally, the owner had the right, although immoral, to treat his slaves in any manner he/she desired. This has at times allowed innocent people to be extremely mistreated. The slaves may have all be treated equal or some may have been treated better or worse; it truly depended on both the owner and the slaves. Social mobility was very limited in slavery. There was almost no opportunity for a slave to earn freedom (Larkin, 2015). The caste system, found in India, places an individual in the caste which they are born into; and one must remain in that caste. India consists of four castes: priests, warriors, merchants, and artisans/farmers (Larkin, 2015). There is also another group that is considered so low they are not even in the system; these unfortunate people are called the untouchables. Each group is to marry only within their caste, work within their caste, and socialize within their caste. The caste system's social mobility used to be quite strict; however, due to technology and urbanization, the mobility has grown (Larkin, 2015). This change is beginning to allow for slightly more social mobility, unlike slavery where there is little hope. The estate system prevailed during the Middle Ages in Europe. Landownership was the organizing
Forms of Business Ownership
Forms of Ownership There are a number of forms of ownership that the business can take. The main forms are sole proprietorship, partnership, Limited Liability Corporation, corporation and S corporation. There are advantages and disadvantages to each of these forms that will be discussed in this section. A sole proprietorship essentially has the person as the business. In this situation, the proprietor bears all of the risk involved in the business. Business income flows through to the proprietor's personal taxes. For some individuals there are tax advantages, but for many the appeal of the sole proprietorship is its simplicity. The IRS defines a partnership as a relationship existing between two or more individuals who joint to carry on a business. Partners divide income according to their own agreement and that income flows through to their personal taxes. Partners also have a high level of liability for any legal action that befalls the company. Corporations are a different type of business. They are more complex to start because more paperwork is involved and the corporation generally has to be registered at the state level. An ordinary corporation is formed through the articles of incorporation. These corporations are legal entities, and therefore bear legal responsibility. The shareholders of the corporation do not bear legal liability. In addition, corporate income is taxed differently it does not flow through to the owner's personal income tax statements. The
1. Which of the four major types of information systems do you think is the most valuable to an organization?
There are four common types of information systems, and these are transaction processing systems, management information systems, decision–support systems, and executive support systems.
In my opinion, the transaction processing systems are the most valuable to an organization. The reason behind this statement is that they help the operational managers control all of the basic activities and transactions that take place within the organization (Laudon & Laudon, 2016). The information collected through TPS is considered to be key in a business performance. Consequently, a significant fatal breakdown in the transaction information systems might derail an organization entirely.
2. Discuss the benefits and challenges of enterprise systems and explain why a firm would want to build one.
An enterprise can generate various benefits and challenges while creating and adopting versatile information systems. Firstly, enterprise systems provide for new organizational structures that it could not implement before and the inculcating of a highly disciplined corporate culture. Secondly, the systems ensure comprehensive automation that generates concrete and informed management processes through intelligent reporting and decision–making. Most importantly, it avails an IS technology ground that is single, unified and all–encompassing. Such technology simplifies data collection from
Examining Four Types of Diversity Essay examples
While diversity is often a term used to refer specifically to cultural differences, diversity applies to all the qualities that make people different. From a management perspective, the key to diversity is to understand how different types of diversity and different demographic characteristics can impact human behavior. The four types of diversity that will be examined are: occupation, differences in skills and abilities, personality traits, and value and attitudes. For each type of diversity, the impact on individual behavior will be described.
One type of diversity is occupation. For example, an individual in a professional occupation is more likely to make his or her own decisions and is also more...show more content...
The same employee may have had close relationships with subordinates before they became supervisor. This example shows how occupation impacts behavior and how a change in position can alter individual behavior. The next type of diversity is differences in skills and abilities. One of the most important factors when considering skills and abilities is that individuals will often adapt their behavior so they are making use of what they consider their positive skills and abilities. For example, consider the case of an individual who believes that they have very effective written communication skills but very poor oral communication skills. This individual is likely to adapt his or her behavior so they write as much as possible, while avoiding communicating orally. As a specific example, this individual might prepare memos or write emails as a way of communicating with their employees, instead of having a meeting with employees. This illustrates how people tend to adapt their behavior so they are using their positive qualities, while avoiding having to use their weaker skills and abilities. Another type of diversity is personality traits. Personality traits are defined as "recurring patterns of behavior such as friendliness, social dominance, conventionality, emotional adjustment, and aesthetic inclination" (Seamon & Kenrick, 1994). As this definition shows, personality traits are actually defined because of the observed behavior they result in. The link
Classification Essay
I have had the luck of being the oldest of my mothers' seven children, and the pleasure of having three of my own, and one step–son. I've spent a lot of time changing diapers, wiping noses, and kissing ouchies. I've carried babies on my hip that I've seen off to kindergarten, helped dressed for the first school dance, attended their graduation, and even been there when they have had their first baby. I have spent a lot of time analyzing their behavior, moods, or lack thereof. I've concluded that there are 4 types of children, I have been blessed with one of each. The 4 different types are: The Superstar, The Kool Kat, The Lil' Mama or Little Man (depending on the sex of the child), and The Rebel.

The sixth grade dance is the coolest thing going for this character. Their biggest dilemma is who to go with. Nothing gets done at home. You find smooth asleep every time the chores are assigned. Sixteen is worth a thousand words. Clothes take to much time, but cars, now your speaking their language. Your Kool Kat said after having the second wreck and totaling the second car, "I'm real sorry, man that sucks. When you guys going to get me another one." Afterwards, when you pick up your new prescription for blood pressure medicine you might as well add it to the budget. You will probably be refilling this prescription at least until graduation. When graduation does arrive, you are informed that borrowing the money from you to open their own business sounds better than college. After some careful consideration you decide to discuss these business plans, while hinting that a small business would probably thrive in a bigger city.
Third is our Lil' Mama's or Little Men. They tend to follow you from infancy. Even their sleeping pattern will mock yours. You might find this baby watching your every move all the time. Day care is the greatest time for this child. Every afternoon your ride home

The Different Types of Media
I think that all different types of media have lots of different influences on society, especially individuals. There is an enormous variety of media including; television, newspapers, radio, magazines, advertisements etc. It seems that the more developed that society gets, the harder it becomes to escape media. One of the most common forms of media is advertisements.

Some people might argue that television is a waste of time that could be better spent or that it displaces the brain of useful information, when in fact these people are mistaken. With televisions powerful documentaries it encourages everyone to take an interest in something and to learn about a passion or maybe teach them how to carry out a dream. Television actually develops and nurtures the mind. Even soaps have a secret hidden agenda of teaching the viewer about topics some people are too scared to talk about or confront. For example a recent storyline in Coronation Street about an emotional violent relationship shows that just because someone doesn't show bruises doesn't mean they aren't in a abusive relationship. Soaps also feature stories of transvestites, child abductions, murders, child neglect etc. putting these on a television screen educates people about everyday things that other people believe shouldn't be discussed.
Radio is another form of media, however it's less extreme. Radio generally reaches out to the younger generation with popular radio stations, like Galaxy 102 and Key 103, they feature what is known as popular music, dance and R'n'B. it encourages
Temperament And How Is It Formed?
Temperaments What is temperaments and how is it formed? Temperament is the way a person or in this matter a child or infant would behave or react to an event or their environment (Cook & Cook, 2014). A temperament is formed by nature and nurture, all thought an infant is born with an "innate tendency" the temperament will form as the infant parents reinforce this temperament (Cook & Cook, 2014). Some infants are born more sociable, and others might be shy and even afraid of most things (Cook & Cook, 2014). Everyone needs to feel accepted, and children are not far behind, is important they feel accepted even if their temperament "isn't easy to handle" or just a breeze temperament (Zerotothree, 2010). A child's temperament and personality can be a something they have inherited from the infants' parents, but the environment where the infant grows is just as important as the genetics (Cook &...show more content...
A child that has an easy temperament is usually positive, smiles frequently and very easy, can overcome new situations easily and adapt to the new changes, most of all will have a set schedule for eating, sleeping and other activities (Cook & Cook, 2014). A difficult temperament is the opposite of an easy temperament. The child is usually negative and will become frustrated very easily, any new situations will become a problem, and shows no pattern when it comes to basic things like eating and sleeping (Cook & Cook, 2014). In another hand, a child that has a slow–to–warm–up temperament can sometimes have a negative behavior to new things but if exposure is persistent a better or positive response can be developed (Cook & Cook, 2014). The better side of a child that has a slow–to–warm–up temperament is that they have "less emotional reactions" and would actually do better with scheduled times for eating and sleeping (Cook & Cook,
Five Types Of Teaching Essay
Teachers are mentors, heroes, and role models who inspire children to learn and expand their minds. A teacher and their skills as an educator determine how much their students will learn and the methods in which they are taught.
Children learn best from teachers who use a variety of teaching tools to convey class material. There are different types of tools teachers can use that fit into five categories of teaching: active, innovative, creative, effective, and fun. These five types of teaching each include methods teachers can use to educated their students effectively and successfully.

Under the creative teaching model, teachers break out of traditional teaching methods to find new and unique ways to teach students. Creative teachers don't follow a rigid curriculum but encourage freedom and independence. Students are asked to use their imagination and creativity to solve problems or complete assignments. A great example would be a science teacher taking their students on a field trip to a science museum. By getting out of a stuffy classroom they can make learning more interesting and can provide outside resources (tour guides, museum exhibits, etc.) within the museum to help them learn material.
# Effective Teaching

Effective teaching is a model where teachers try to provide students learning opportunities where their own experiences in their life can be applied to course material. Effective learning turns life experiences into teaching moments. Teachers provide students with tools and course material to help them understand
The Four Types of Parenting Styles Essay
With over three hundred million Americans and over six billion people worldwide parenting skills are essential to maintain a healthy society. Parenting involves many aspects and requires many skills. It is a time to nurture, instruct, and correct to develop fundamental skills children will need to be mature, responsible, and contributing adults to a society. There are four commonly identified parenting styles; authoritarian, authoritative, permissive, and uninvolved parenting. Of the four parenting styles, two remain on opposite ends of the parenting spectrum. These two styles; authoritarian, and permissive both have deleterious results that are often visible throughout different developmental stages, such as rebellious behavior. As well...show more content...
Failure to demonstrate manners and thereby failing to demonstrate respect is often dealt with by strict disciplinary action. Unlike the authoritarian style of parenting, the permissive style does not place such great emphasis on adherence to manners. Manners may be encouraged but are not viewed as a sign of a child's obedience. Permissive parents allow and often even encourage casual verbiage rather than formal conversations with their child. Failure to hold the door for the next person or giving up a seat to a woman or elderly is seldom noticed or mentioned. Permissive parents fail to enforce some of the simplest expressions of manners. Correction and punishment is seldom given to a child for lack of manners. According to WWW.Consistent–parenting–advice.com children of permissive parents control their own behavior and to make their own decision. From infancy to adult, people are making decisions all day long. How long to study for the upcoming test? What sport to play? What college to attend? As choices are made, often goals are set to ensure maximum potential is achieved. This process of decision–making and goal setting is overbearing shadowed by the authoritarian style of parenting.
4 Types Of Teams Essay
Types of Teams and How They Work
In the business world, organization is a "systematic grouping of people brought together to accomplish some specific task." (Robbin, DeCenzo, & Robert, 2013) An organization can be made of workgroups and work teams. While in a work team, members help create and gather information, accomplish different tasks, and meet common goals; whereas work groups interact to share information. "Today, more and more companies are incorporating teams–of a variety of sizes and types–into their workflows" (Miller, B.) There are so many different teams, but the following will be discussed self–directed work teams, cross–functions teams, problem–solving teams, and virtual teams. It is also important to be aware of the obstacles that exist while trying to construct an effective team and the overcoming of the challenges that teams face.
There are differences between a workgroup and a work team. A group "is two or more interacting and interdependent individuals who come together to achieve particular objectives." (Robbin, DeCenzo, & Robert, 2013) In a workgroup, individuals, usually three or more, come together to share information and make decisions to help each other achieve their organizational goal. For example, "a small business may have a client services group, but one person may focus on local clients, one person may focus on regional clients and a third person may assist those individuals. Also, groups tend to be permanent fixtures with ongoing goals
The Big Three Types Of Basic Writing Skill
The Big Three It is essential that everyone has some type of basic writing skill because it will help anyone who is reading or writing an essay, paper, or even a book to efficiently communicate with their reader. With the lack of grammar and structure of the essence of writing, it would be meaningless. It is important for anyone to perfect any writing skill that they may be having trouble with as soon as the problem occurs. Once a person has identified their problems they can be left with the decision to practice the problem and research it in order to fix those problems. This past few weeks my English teacher developed a midterm project based on three problem areas in which we had trouble with. We were then told, out of all three we needed to find three resources each, in which helped us improve on all of these areas. I am so glad this project was presented to me so that I could fix not one but all three of my skill areas. The three areas that I felt that I had the most problems with was, introduction paragraphs, conclusion paragraphs, and pronoun–antecedent agreement. First, to aid me in my introduction paragraphs, my resources included: The Little Seagull Handbook, Owl Purdue Online Writing Lab, and About Education– The Introductory Paragraph. Second, to aid me in conclusion paragraphs, my resources included: The Little Seagull Handbook, Owl Purdue Online Writing Lab, and About Education– Writing Your Conclusion. Last, to aid me in pronoun–antecedent agreements, my
