My Goal Essay
Everyone has their own talent or great ability, but everyone also has their own obstacles and limitations. I chose my purpose and yearly goal because I want to strive to be the best person I can for both me and other people around me. I want to be able to help people when they need it but not distract myself to the point of not being able to take care of myself first. My yearly goal to accomplish this is to work on my own obstacles but also help others prevail over theirs.
I believe that I'm good at helping people with their problems whether it be in their private lives or school and I think this'll help me achieve my goal because helping myself and others is the main part of my goal. The thing that gets in the way of me being able to...show more content...
The obstacle that prevents me from doing this is time management. I struggle with allotting enough time to school and doing homework and instead use it for relaxing at home or hanging out with friends. Also, when I do start working on school work, one assignment sometimes takes up all my time and I don't end up finishing the others. The way I'll get over my problem of time management is that I'll make sure I have at least 30 minutes for all my homework assignments so that I have time to finish them all and if I have one that I don't finish I'll come back to it and finish it after. I believe that my quality of persevering through something when I start it is beneficial to my goal and my plan will give enough time to take care of everything I need to do for my own success.
I believe that helping people is a just and noble goal, but helping yourself also plays a factor in helping others. This year my goal is to help others overcome problems as well as help myself overcome my own obstacles. I'm good at helping people with their issues, but I procrastinate so that I don't have enough time for myself and even less for others. I believe I am an easy person to have a conversation with, but sometimes I have a fear of failure which prevents me with having deep conversations with people. Whenever I start something I always strive to finish it, but my time management problem causes me
My Goal In College Essay
What is my goal in ENG4U? All of the students taking this course in the summer has one goal in mind, get it over with, and get a decent grade that we would be happy with. For me though, I want to achieve more than just a good mark in this class, I want to take away knowledge that will help me in furthering a career in life or helping me get through everyday situations that life will throw at me as I go through it. This course could teach me so much about who I really am if you look at it in a certain perspective because it can show you what your strengths and weaknesses are and by doing that it can help everyone improve as not only a student but a person in the real world. Goals that I want to achieve and gain in this course is to become more future–focused, encourage teamwork, prep for college and career, and gain complex thinking skills. All of these are skills that will apply into the real world for everyone to become more successful.
My strengths in this class and in life I would say are being future focused, motivated for university and encouraging teamwork. Many times people don't know what they want in life and what they want to do outside of school and for many I believe that is a big issue in our world and something that this course can teach many of us to do. "Right now our schools measure knowledge gain from one year to the next. Conversely, students (even really good ones) come to school as a means to an end. It is a stepping stone to their life goals.
My Writing Goals
I have not taken the ACTs yet because I have been very busy with my school work and have been all caught up with extra curricular activities. I just don't have any time on the weekends because I always have work or I'm hanging out with my friends. I believe as well as I hope that I can do well on the test. My goal is to achieve a twenty–four through a twenty–seven because I believe that would show how inteligente I actually am. If I score anything lower than a twenty, then I will most likely plan on taking the test again to do better on it. My strengths in writing can vary, but I am the best at topic development, specific audience, and sentence structure. I am great when it comes to topic development; I can come up with many different wonderful...show more content...

Another goal of mine is that I want to become better at these so I can do well on my ACTs. This will help me in college. I wish to reach a score of twenty–five to feel good about myself. I said before that I need to become better at spelling, and I feel as if I can work on this by just practicing. I will become better in the other two areas just by writing more and more to have it drilled into my mind. I will know the principles of writings because of how many times I will have used them. My goals in this is to receive a grade of an A in this class. I know for sure that I can obtain this grade because I am a smart individual who likes to work
My Life Goal Paper
My life goal is to become a family nurse practitioner and serve as a primary healthcare provider for rural areas such as Amarillo along with its surrounding locality. Healthcare in rural areas is often limited or inaccessible, which often impairs the patient's outcome, limits educational awareness, and leads to a shortage of support services for families. Once established, I would desire to open a clinic to serve those whom are particularly susceptible to the diseases of poverty such as those belonging to the lower income, rural, or minority demographic. Poverty increases the risk for chronic diseases and mental disorders, for instance, depression, malnutrition, and infant mortality are more prevalent among the poor. My objective is to provide
My Goals Essay
As the most of my peers, I have been asking myself a question, what is it really I want out of my life? This question has been bothering many people, and not only the college students who are trying to figure out the path which will lead them to the comfortable life. One might ask, what is that comfort that we all are striving for? Is it a state of mind or is it some unknown world that we are so eager to enter? Well, it varies from person to person, it depends on the life that the person has left behind when the decision to go to college was made. There are several aspects of our lives that could influence us and the future decisions that we'll make. The biggest part of our decision making is the way we were raised and the culture we have...show more content...
On the other hand, we have a poor family. A person that was born to a poor family has been exposed to a lot of worries about financial situation. Most likely, the person at the early age had to think how to support a family or just help them out. Most likely that person will have to work along with going to school, of course the job will take away concentration from school. There will be a little chance that the person will finish high school or even go to college. The family will show little or no support for the higher education, because they will look at the short run problems, they need money now, not four years from now. Secondly, the person will not be as motivated to go to school of higher education as the person who was born to a rich family. The surrounding of that person does not provide the proper environment for the logical thinking in terms of long term life goals, because most likely the family will live in the area that is consistent with their income. ! Meaning that the child will never get a chance to see the full meaning of completing the higher education. To every rule there are always exceptions. There are people who would totally disagree that the opportunities are limited only to the rich. They see world as a much brighter place, the place where any person could reach the desired goal if he/she want it bad
My Personal Goals Essay
As a child and even as a teenager one tends to make dreams and set goals for life. On occasion these goals are far stretched and sometimes even fairy–tale like, we tend to see life through a rose–colored glass, not taking into account the many sidetracks life throws our way. At that stage in life our goals tend to be less focused and somewhat unreachable. However, the process of growing up, or maturing, tends organized and center our goals, we learn to make compromises and set goals for our goals. There are different types of goals, short term and long term. I have learned to separate the many goals I have into three main categories: family, professional and personal.
First, my family goals include how I see myself and how I see my...show more content...
I have planned monthly individual date nights with my children, so that they can have my undivided attention for a certain period of time.
The second family short term goal takes into account my marriage. In order to raise happy and healthy children, a happy and healthy relationship with one's spouse is paramount. In order to achieve this goal my husband and I have decided to also dedicate more time for the two of us. For the next year we have made an agreement to take at least one vacation together, so that we may increase the bond that brought us together. We have also decided that for the next three year we will spend Holidays as a family so that we may create our own family traditions, we will do whatever is in our power to spend Holidays together, that includes not working or making other plans with the rest of our immediate families.
On many occasions my personal goals have come before my professional aspirations. A career in the medical field has always been something I have looked forward to. As a child I wanted and dreamed of being a doctor, however due to the choices I made in life and the priorities that I had not thought of, I have come to realize that my childhood dream may not come true. Yet, I was able to compromise and make short and long term goals that will lead me into a career in the medical field. My long term goal is to enter the medical field world and be a respected contributor to it. I want to be able to help others in the time of need. In
My Professional Goals Essay
Choosing a career in medicine is my first career choice, and in many ways it is the only career choice I want. From professional athletes that we see on television, to the educators that have taught me and many others through the years, they all have committed themselves to extensive study. They have practiced countless of hours to master their individual skill set for their profession. I see myself following in the same footsteps, but as a pediatrician. I want to also master the skills that it takes to be a great doctor. It may not be simple and the outcome may not be near, but with extensive studying and practice I want to achieve and master the set of skills of pediatric diagnosis and eventually improve the medical process. This is my...show more content...
My working experience with Dr. Sure has taught me that to exercise good clinical judgment required extensive study, practice, and endless hours of work. As a pediatrician, I will strive to make every effort to empower and educate my own patients with the knowledge that will give them control over there aliments. With each visit I hope that we can work together for a brighter and healthier tomorrow.
Naturally, my eagerness to learn came about at a very young age. I always wanted to know how the human body worked. Growing up in the age of YouTube, I often poured over countless hours of videos learning simple concepts that I could easily understand at that time. As I grew I was always looking to learn something new. Finally, in high school I took advantage of College Now, a program where students in high school had access to college classes on a college campus while receiving college credits. While I was there, I earned a Certificate in Computer Science from CUNY Queens College. This eagerness to learn came about of a very simple reason. My parents had high aspirations for me since no one on either side of their families had ever gone beyond a high school education. They wanted me to be the first in the family to achieve a Bachelor's degree. Finally in 2012, I graduated from St. Johns University with a
What Is My Goal Essay
My goal is one that is different and will take effort and hard work to achieve. It is one that I have to really work on for a long period of time and have motivation for. My goal is to maintain a 3.33 GPA for my first semester of college and hopefully for my next four years as well. Why specifically a 3.33 GPA? This is because I plan on joining the honors program next semester and to do that, a 3.33 GPA is exactly what I need to attain. In order to stay in the honors program for the next four years, I need to keep that 3.33 GPA and not let it drop. This goal is a great one and is definitely affected by Marywood's Core Values and Mission Statement. Empowerment and Excellence have a big impact on my goal as well as the idea in the statement that Marywood strives for strong academic achievement and scholarships. These Core Values will be a big help in inspiring me to achieve my goal....show more content...
It means that one strives to do their best at whatever they do and to put as much effort into it as possible. What am I capable of? How far can I push myself until I reach my goal? Doing homework nightly or whenever it is given and not turning in assignments late, will help me achieve this goal as it will get me better grades. This includes any nightly readings I have to do for the next class. Turning in something late, means I am lazy or slacking off a bit. Part of empowerment is to try not to be those things. Yes, there are times where I may forget or mess up with a due date of an assignment, but I will try my very best to not let that happen. I also plan on studying for quizzes and exams so that I can achieve the best possible grade there is. With empowerment, these little improvements on my work and studying habits, will help me reach my full
