My : My Role Model
My Role Model As I rummage through my mother 's drawer full of accessories for a clutch to wear at an upcoming wedding, I spot an old pair of gloves– my grandmother 's gloves. They 're long, thin and black; bringing to mind balls and long gowns. The life of my grandmother, Tooran Shamoelian, was no ordinary one. Though, unfortunately, I 've never met her, the stories and descriptions of her life that have been told to me by her family and friends have formed a picture in my mind of the outstanding woman she was. My grandmother, Tooran is someone I look up to and aspire to emulate. The way she stood up for her religion and was determined to get a good education inspires me to do the same.
Tooran Shamoelian was born in 1940 in Tehran, the capital of Iran. Described as a kind–hearted woman with a strong personality, she was always known to help others and stand up for what she believed in. Tooran was smart and capable and was determined to get a better education. At just 18 years old she begged her parents to let her travel to England to study nursing. Back then, in Iran, it was unheard of for a girl her age to travel alone out of the country; they were expected to stay at home. Tooran eventually convinced her parents to let her leave and for five years she studied in England while attending parties and social events in her formal gowns and long black gloves.

"This is it," Tooran thought. Her parents had just returned home after a
My Role Model My Mother
The bond between a mother and a child is one unlike that of any two humans beings on earth. At first I had absolutely no idea who this person was when I was born. Blind and completely oblivious of who and what surrounded me, all I knew was that I was being held by a woman tight in her arms. Even as young as being an infant, I knew she was the one, the one who would have impacted my life the most. A mother nurtures, parents, and advise their children so they can become a better individual in the community and the world today. My role model, my best friend, my mother. Mom has always been the one I have looked up to since the day I first laid in her arms. She was not rich nor famous or had invented anything that would change the world. She just went to work day in and day out to support us. She has done everything she could do to become the successful women she is today, I honestly have to say she is the strongest and most independent women I have ever met. She speaks out words as if she was the first lady of the United States. My mother's words truly inspire me.She is the kind of person that has time for her kids, always interested in learning something new, would sacrifice herself for the family and is the strongest women in my eyes. My mother actually is a very ordinary woman, but in her tiny but large appearance shines an extraordinary fortitude, perseverance, an altruistic soul and kind heart humane. She's taught me more than anyone else not only inspired me to have the
My Mom Is My Role Model
Out of all the people in the world that I look up to I'd have to say that my mom is my biggest role model. Maybe not everybody's moms are a great role model and there is probably people who are going to think my mom is not, but to me she is. I'm writing this essay about my mom and why I think she's a good role model. I think my mom proved a lot of people wrong about getting pregnant at a young age. People told her it would be a big mistake and that it would ruin her life but my mom is now raising four kids and is doing a pretty good job in my opinion, which clearly proves that it didn't ruin her life. Having a kid at 17 isn't for everybody because not everybody is cut out for that job. On top of having her first kid at 17 she married when she was 23 and still is happily married to my dad. A lot of couples get divorced especially ones who got married young, but my mom says that a lot of the time people just give up completely when things get rough. In her opinion when things start getting difficult you just need to take a step back and try to fix the problem unless it's unfixable and maybe you guys just weren't meant to be. My mom had 3 kids when she started college to be a nurse but 2 years in she quit because she didn't want to be away from her kids all the time. By doing all of this she proved everybody wrong by being a good mom. She makes a pretty good mom because even though she has 4 kids, if there is a problem she'll find the time to talk about it and I find it pretty easy to talk to her about almost everything because she listens and does what she can to try an help. She loves to dance, she'll sing and dance really weird and does the cha cha slide a lot, proving that she can be really fun and puts everybody in a good mood. I think that my mom has a lot of stress being a mom of 4 kids especially because my dad's job is working in Fort Benton so he has to leave really early and is home kind of late so he can't help out a ton on the weekdays, so she kind of does a lot on her own but she still manages and has a job she loves doing that fits perfect with everyone's time scehdule because she works at the school. I'm glad my mom is how she is because I can trust her and my friends can trust her. For
Primary Role Model
The person that I perceive to be my primary role model would defiantly have to be my mother. I chose my mother as my primary role model because she has always inspired me to go further with my life. She taught me to become an independent individual. She also has always taught me to strive for success, to be known as the over achiever in class. As a child, growing up was really tough due to the fact that my parents are divorced with three children (Including myself). Whether it was money, transportation, and school, there seemed to always have been an issue or a budget. I always have seen my mother to be my role model because she has been independent and never gave up. She had dealt with three children, got her masters, tackled on a full
My Mother : My Role Model
My role model is my mom. Everyone would probably think that this is the most generic person to put as a role model, but it is the truth. She has honestly made a huge impact on my life. Majority of the decisions I have made in my life are based off of what my mom would say or what would she do. She always helps me when i'm lost and needs guidance. She is my go to person when it comes to having a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on, and an ear to listen. I look at my mom so highly. She has influenced my life drastically because of everything we have been through in life. The reason she is my role model is because she raised two kids by herself with no male figure to help her, having a full time job to provide for her children, and staying strong through situations God has put us in. All my life my mom has been the mom and dad in the family. My father has never been in my life so my mom had to step up to the plate to take care of two kids. Taking care of kids by yourself is no easy job. Raising kids come with more than having money to take care of them physically but mentally showing them the way of life such as: teaching them right from wrong, the do's and the don'ts, and how to do stuff and just preparing them for the real world, things a father usually help teaching their kids. That was just minus all the extra stuff that comes with having girls, it comes with things like starting their cycles and boy talk and teaching them how to be a lady. My mom would still help me and
My Role Model Of My Life Essay
Kevin Lamount Coley, my role model. The only male figure in my life that I want to be like. I use to mimic all your actions from your laugh to your serious face, your truly an outstanding man. Although my father and I don 't see eye to eye all the time and he can also get on my nerves sometimes. My Dad 's dedication and perseverance are absolutely fantastic; he always has, and a never give up attitude. I couldn 't fathom any other male figure being my father also I don 't want anyone other than the dad I have right now. There are endless reasons on why my Dad means so much to me, he does so much and looks for no reward. He goes above and beyond the call of duty every day, he is a leader in our community as well. My Dad is an entrepreneur, so he owns his own business. I've seen days where my dad is sick, but he still gets up around five o'clock in the morning and goes to work. He doesn't take days off; I remember asking him "Dad, how do you do it? How do you push yourself to get up and work so hard every day?" And my Dad responded by saying this, "I do it because I enjoy seeing you guys happy." At first, I didn't understand what he was implying, but as I started to ponder on his words, it became apparent to me what he had meant. When my father gets paid, he doesn't spend a dime on himself. He always makes sure my siblings and I are taken care of first before anything. Then he takes care of my mom's needs; my dad is selfless. Not once has he ever not provided, there's
My Role Model My Mom
A role model is someone who has a significant impact in your life. When people are asked who's their role model, of the answers would say a celebrity or an athlete, but for me the answer is my mother. There are so many great qualities about her that motivates me to be a better person. For the past seventeen years of my life, she has been there for me in every way I can possibly think of. She's my inspiration and motivation I look for when I need it. In the future, I want to be able to be there for her just like all those times she was there for me. She has so many great characteristics I've personally witnessed that has shaped me into the best version of myself. One of my mom's best characteristics is being independent. Ever since she...show more content...
My mom wouldn't rely much on my dad or pay someone to do the some of the laboring part of remodeling. She always wanted things done a certain way so it was better for her to do it herself. She never went to school for interior designing or decorating, it was mostly self–taught or watching episodes from different HGTV home improvement shows. If there was something she didn't know how to do or wanted a cheaper resolution, she would spend hours on the computer looking at different DIY websites to brainstorm new ideas. One of her main sayings she tells me is "never rely on nobody if you can do it yourself" and "common sense will take you a long way." Similarly, hard work and dedication always paid off in the end for my mother. Everything she own is because of all her years of hard work. Her full paid house and two vehicles with no debt were possible because of how responsible she is with her money. Bills were paid first every pay period. After those are paid and the other necessities were covered, then she considers buying the items she's interested in. For my mom, it was always "business before pleasure". The idea of paying late fees was unnecessary in her opinion, therefore, she paid whatever needed to be paid first. Prioritizing what came first wasn't difficult for her because she's not the type of person that went out with friends or splurge her money out to eat somewhere. The definition of "pleasure" to her meant
My Role Model Of My Mother
Growing up I have always admired my mother Pam, born October 3rd, 1955. She is a strong, independent woman, who all on her own raised two children. She has given my brother and I everything we could ever need. Pam has tried her hardest to make sure we take full advantage of all opportunities that come our way. She has unknowingly shown me that even without today's 'model' family dynamic of a wife, husband, and biological children, life can still be just as good and wholesome. These are just a few of the reasons of why I picked my mother, my role model, to be my first interviewee. Next, I chose to interview my Grandmother on my Mother's side, Eileen. Eileen Casadei was born on December 27th, 1928. Eileen has always been a frequent and...show more content...
She said her options had been incredibly limited because it was looked down upon for a woman to even look for a job outside the household, one that wasn't the caretaker. Eileen also mentioned that men controlled all aspects of the working woman; where, when and what they did. Every job accessible, according to Eileen, was a position solely based on a women's appearance and one's intellect never came into play. My mother Pam also spoke of struggles to have equality to men while working today. Owning property requires her to interact with those residing and working on her land, here is where she finds it the hardest to be a woman. Many of the individuals in the area are "old–fashioned Italians who still believe women can't be in charge" (Grilli) Constantly, men are questioning her authority or making sarcastic remarks about her not being able to handle the job of being a Landlord. Finally, this theme was also present in my interview with Charlotte, although not as dominant. She spoke about trying to find a job where would feel completely comfortable. She did not want to have to work under a man that could potentially look down on her for being a teenage girl, who might not take a job seriously because of the stereotypes surrounding young women. When I asked her to talk more to this she said that as of right now, looking for a job to make extra money, and not looking for a job that would support her as an adult, there's less pressure.
Mom Role Model Essay
Mother's have a big role to play in their children's life, they teach their kids values that stay with forever. My mom has taught me a lot in the 9 years I had with her. The woman I am today has been because of the way my mom. She showed me how to act, live, and express myself. My mom was my biggest role model, I wanted to be just like her, just like every girl wanting to be like their mom. Having her gone has made me a stronger person, having to go through everyday life without a mother figure to guide me through my childhood years. In the 9 years I had being with my mom, showed me how much I want to be like her. My mom had stage 4 breast cancer for 7 years, she was diagnosed when I was 3. I knew that I did not have much time left with my mom and I needed to spend every last second with her.
Being so young and losing my mom changed my life so much, knowing I have to live the rest of my years being a dependent woman because I will not have a mother figure in my life anymore. Since she passed, I have tried to be just like her, happy all the time, even if I'm hurting because I know my pain was not as big as her's. I always think about the things I do before I do them, seeing if my mom would do the same thing. I had to grow up relying on my dad to fulfil the missing piece of my mom, things mother would do usually do. My mom's passing also showed me how thankful I should be of my dad. He had to take the role of two parents, while having 2 kids to take care of. He would take me shopping and get my nails done, things my mom would do. Her passing made my small family closer, relying and depending on each other.
Parents are so important to children, protecting them and taking care of them all throughout their lives. So, when it comes down to having only one parent in a child's life, it is majorly important for them to provide that missing role and make their kids life amazing. My dad had to do that, supplying extra love because of my mom's passing. I have a lot of respect for my dad because he took on two kids and we are
My Role Model In My Life
My past has really shaped me into the person I am today, it is the reason I work as hard as i do weather its in school or outside activities. My goal is to better myself to get to where i want to be as I get older no matter the outcome.
My mom had me when she was just sixteen years old and my brother two years later, she managed to finish and graduate highschool which is one of the reasons she's a big role model in my life. I grew up with two parents, my mom and my dad. Since both my parents were young, money wasn't always available due to bills and housing. My mom and dad worked to ends meet and we were able to move out of my nana's house who has also been a big role model for me. My parents work their hardest to provide for my brother and I so that we didn't have to worry about the littlest of things.
My nana taught me right from wrong, she taught me that no matter what struggle you come from, you can make it out somewhere as long as you do what you need to do. She moved to Pennsylvania for college at Temple because she wanted the best for herself and her kids, she is one of the reasons I want to go to Temple university. My mother learned from her, without my nana I don't think my mom would have the mindset she has today as long as with my dad.
I moved around a lot as a kid, mostly back and forth from places to places. I was younger so I didn't really mind it and it was for the better so me and my brother could have a better education than in the city school

Role Model Paper on My Mother
A role model is someone who you can relate with. It is someone who will be hopefully you learn from and in turn they learn from you. My role model is my mother. She had to go through a summer of hell and this is what happened to her and what I learned to. God gives you certain situations and you have to run with it.
I did not want big responsibilities. I figured, " Why should I worry about them, until I have to." My way of thinking was selfish. I have always been a little selfish, but caring at the same time. I didn't have that many real responsibilities. I had your typical chores. I had to do well in school, make sure my room was clean and try not to get in trouble. I left the kitchen got changed and left. I drove around and around thinking this was too surreal. I started to break down and cry, thinking that I might lose my mother.
After that night, it was a lot harder to focus on school, friends and work. I kept making excuses for why I did not want to do anything but sit at home. I studied the best I could for my final exams. It was hard to study with everything running through my brain. Since grades were always very important to my mother I tried to do well for her. I ended up getting a 3.0 for my junior year. I felt I owed that to my parents. Especially, my dad who had enough stress with his business doing poorly, having a wife that was sick and two kids to support. I felt that my doing well would take some stress off his shoulders.
The summer was starting and my mother was getting sicker by the day. My summer job was grounds keeping at a golf course from five–thirty in the morning until two in the afternoon. During my lunch breaks, I would drive home and eat lunch with my mom. I would always be a couple of minutes late coming back but it was well worth it. Since my mom was not doing well the doctors said she could not go on a trip to Atlanta to see her first niece get married. For twenty–six years she looked forward to seeing her dead brother's daughter's wedding. Needless to say she was heartbroken.
After getting a second opinion, surgery was scheduled for July 30th. The 30th came and we waited for what was the
