My Dream House Essay
What I Call Home
In life everyone has their own dreams, whether it be about cars, houses, or their career. Most people I know dream to have the biggest and luxurious houses but I was always satisfied with mine. My house is not a tiny apartment nor a huge mansion but a two story, plain brown brick cozy house with white painted doors. The front yard is decorated with beautiful flowers; roses, lilies, violets, dahlias, daisies and much more, my mother usually plant them. She says, "Flowers are a pleasure and perfection of nature, and they give many things to people, and it does not matter if you are rich or poor, they give you a wonderful world which makes you feel happy". It definitely makes her and our neighbors happy. She shares the...show more content...
After dinner, majority of the time everyone goes out or straight to their rooms but occasionally we'll sit in the living room and watch television together. My living room is probably the coziest place in my house. The walls are partially decorated with pieces of wood. It resembles the interior of a cottage. There are four black leather couches and a wooden coffee table that sits in the middle. My mother usually makes tea or coffee for us. She'll also bring out a bowl of sliced fruits, nuts and put it on the coffee table. After watching a movie or soap opera on satellite, everyone goes to their room and gets ready for bed. In the mornings when I wake up, the first thing I tend to do is step outside to my backyard to get a nice fresh air. My backyard is fairly big, also one of the main reasons why my parents decided to buy it. There's a little slide door in the dining room that leads to a dark brown deck. You'll see a green patio table, chairs and a barbecue. Also, in the corner of my backyard you'll see a small portion of the yard fenced. That's my mothers garden, where she grows tomatoes, peppers, onions, eggplants, parsley, lettuce, strawberries, cucumbers and many others that I can't recall. Both my dad and my mom love to grow organic vegetables and fruits. Around my backyard you'll also see a raspberry bush, pear, peach, cherry, apricot,
Describe My Home
My home, my home sweet home the place where I'm at peace and I can escape from the busy and crazy world. I moved into this house when I was about 6 or 7 and I have countless of wonderful memories that happened here but also some pretty crummy ones. My house isn't very big, but it isn't small it's the perfect size for just me and my mom. The walls of my house are a vanilla color, but have become dirty over the years and the ceiling of it has some water damage because of the few times it rains here. It's also very noisy throughout the day and night because of the busy road right behind us. There is a numerous amount of cars that go by every day and sometimes they wake us up at at the wee hours of the morning. It's usually a massive white truck that comes rushing down the road at night, illuminating my darkened room with its blinding orange lights, trembling and shaking the walls of the old house. Many times its people raising hell and speeding or racing down the road. What I love about my house is the spectacular view you get when you step into the backyard. The first thing you see is what seems to be a never–ending desert and then you look up and have an impeccable view of the enormous blue mountain where the tram is located. I love going out there at night because it's very peaceful at times and you can see all the bright twinkling stars and the glistening lights of the city. It's also very chilling and eerie because of the never–ending desert, you never know what you might

The glass face is very smooth. Sitting in the middle on top is a container, most women have filled with an array of colorful, stylish items. The inside contains very vivid colors and the contents are extremely fragile.
The corner feature, still to your left is tall and oval. A reflection of yourself appears when looking directly into the silver portion of this piece. When I use this, the function of this product helps me to double check my appearance before leaving the house. Two legs allow the oval shape to swing back and forth so you can change the way the reflection will appear. This is my favorite object in the room.
While standing in the doorway you will see across the room diagonally my place to sleep. The dimensions are queen sized and covered in cheetah print silk sheets. The aroma has a strong scent of laundry detergent and feels very smooth. The feel against my body relaxes me and encourages me to fall asleep any time during the day. Most people have one of these in their bedroom too. At one end, I have four fluffy items where I lay my head at night to be comfortable. These help me sleep better at night rather than not using them at all. They also are covered in cheetah print cases. I have a short, black, square stand with four legs and a flat top on the floor to the right of this large object. I use this to hold my alarm clock.

Another reason that my room makes me feel comfortable is that I love to dance, but I am embarrassed to do it in front of other people, so whenever I am in my room I can turn the radio and put on some of my favorite music and dance my best. My room gives me the confidence that I don't have in other places, it helps me to have trust in myself, I can do the most ridiculous thing but my room won't say anything, it will never judge me. My room is the only place where I will try new things and if I feel confident I will try them outside of it. I will give it my best and that is how my room helps me, by doing something there first I believe more in myself.
It is the place where I can concentrate and think about everything that is going on around me, not only around my city or state, but all over the world. I get the chance to relax and think in what I want to do with my life, the kind of future I want to achieve. My room is the place where I can go and do my homework without getting distracted, where I can write down my feelings and open my mind to new ideas. Many times I have gone to my room and just write about things that are going around in the world that will affect me sooner or later, like global warming. I will think about everything I have heard, and my room makes me feel comfortable like there is nothing that can stop me from making a comment and saying what is on my mind.

My favourite thing to do in my bedroom is jump on my bed and once when my friends came to sleep over we had a game to see who could jump and make their head touch the ceiling and naturally I won but my little sister would burst in without knocking and see what we was doing and ofcourse the first thing she did was say " Im telling mum" in her little whining annoying voice and run down the stair and tell my mum. So it was a long time i had to wait to have another sleepover.
In the corner you can see the fairies and pixies fighting over the pizza i was eating yesterday which is infact my favourite food. The design of the rooms is very unique like everything has been put in a place for a reason. The oldest think i can remember here is the sofa which i bought 2 years ago. I remember when we first bought it, the smile on my face and the arguing between my dad and brother. "Go left, Go left" he would yell. Ahh good times. It used to be clean but the constant food i would eat on it could have changed that. Like most teenagers i have many posters on my walls mostly of role models that I admire, favourite teams and a few cute girls here and there. The most visible thing here is probably the red carpet that covers the bedroom as far as your eyes can see. In the corner of my bedroom is my desk which I normally do all of my homework and assignments, On top of it sat my computer which is always on. My previous desk somehow broke and
What is Home? Essay
What is home? If one looks in a dictionary the answer would come out to be, "The place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household." However, for anyone who has had an actual home, they would know that such a term goes much beyond its concrete description. It is an impassioned aspect filled with values and foundation of nurturing. A home is not just an abode built to live in; in fact, that is just a definition of a house. Home is a place where one not only feels comfortable, but a place they look forward to opportunely live in every day. A home is built not by bricks or wood, but with the bond of family. A home is a place that reminds a person of countless memories and values when he walks through a...show more content...
Family is what makes a house a home; this statement is undeniably precise. A person could have every material entity in the entire world, but it would mean nothing if he does not have someone to share it with. In other words, home is also semantically related to sharing the happiness, grief, and material things with one's family. A home gives people a place to care about the people that mean the most to them. It is a place to tell amusing tales, a good story, or make memorable memories with one another. Furthermore, home is more than a place; it is a feeling. It is a feeling of contentment and happiness that they share with the ones they love. Moreover, home is when one knows they are with people that can drive them insane in a second, and the same people can make them happy in a second as well. Home means that no matter what one is going through, no matter how challenging life gets, there will be someone looking out for them. One knows that a place is their home when they are comfortable enough to present a true description of themselves, because they know that they will receive definitive acceptance. It is a sanctuary for them where they can do anything they please and not be judged afterwards. It is where one can share the absurdity of their day without any remorse or repercussions. The reason why people say that a person only has one true home is because one will
Essay about My Childhood Home
The fleeting changes that often accompany seasonal transition are especially exasperated in a child's mind, most notably when the cool crisp winds of fall signal the summer's end approaching. The lazy routine I had adopted over several months spent frolicking in the cool blue chlorine soaked waters of my family's bungalow colony pool gave way to changes far beyond the weather and textbooks. As the surrounding foliage changed in anticipation of colder months, so did my family. My mother's stomach grew larger as she approached the final days of her pregnancy and in the closing hours of my eight' summer my mother gently awoke me from the uncomfortable sleep of a long car ride to inform of a wonderful surprise. No longer would we be returning...show more content...
I had violent, grass–stained war games with my neighborhood friends, while my mother worked in her small vegetable garden among the honeybees, and watched things grow. An ever–present warming smell of knishes and hot dogs permeated around every inch of my block as the nearby concession pumped a constant flow of fresh food to hungry little leaguers and their families. Looking up, the summer sky looked like an Easter egg God had dipped in blue dye.
Those warm summer nights after long days of camp were greatly anticipated events back then. My cousin and I itched with repressed energy throughout the long bus ride from various tri–state area attractions. We couldn't wait to get home and see what types of shenanigans we could get into. We couldn't wait to slide down the steep, blue–carpeted staircase on our bottoms, and then on our stomachs. Most of all, we couldn't wait to go down to the basement. The basement was better than a toy store. Yes, the old–fashioned milk chute in the kitchen wall was enchanting, and the laundry chute was fun because it was big enough to throw down my sisters stuffed companions, so my cousin could catch them below in the laundry room, as our voices echoed up and down the chute. But the basement was better than all of these, better even than sliding down those stairs on rug–burned bottoms.
It was always deliciously cool down
