Early College Application Essay
I'm applying to UA Early College because I want to be able to step into college ahead of the game. I have been an overachiever since I was little and take each chance I get handed to me. This program additionally prepares me for courses I will take when in college. It gives a more profound understanding of how classes will be and the paces they will go at. The second reason I am applying is on account that this program will help me fulfill my college major. I anticipate going into the forensic science field and getting my PhD or doctorate. That will take anywhere between four to seven years, depending on the college. Seven years is quite a while to be in college and I want to be able to start work sooner rather than later. Emory University attracts me most for its abundant research programs provided for the undergraduate students. Personally, I like to do various kinds of research, including but not limiting to Mathematics. In Grade 11, I led a research project in respect of the negative effect created by the abuse of laser beam, which mainly focused on physics concepts. By doing a substantial amount of experiments and gathering related information from the internet, I obtained much more knowledge outside the classroom. As a result, doing a research program is one of the goals that I want to achieve at university. I am filling out the Federal Financial Aid Suspension Appeal in regards to personal reasons I endured during the Fall of 2006 and the Spring of 2010 semesters. During the fall of 2006, I lacked a reliable vehicle and was unable to get transportation to and from school. This greatly affected my ambition to further my education and drove me to concentrate on working full time and taking care of my financial obligations. Technology has always been my passion and one could even find me deconstructing and attempting to reconstruct various household technologies as a young kid. However it was hard to continue this passion in school due to the fact that my school greatly lacks in the technology classes such as engineering, computer science, or leadership. College Admissions Essay: The LGBT Community
College Essay Throughout my life I have experienced many things that have molded me into the person I am today, but the one I find most profound involves my coming out as a member of the LGBT+ community. As a child I suffered tremendously with confusion, self hatred, and misunderstanding about my own sexuality. Growing up queer in a small town is never an easy thing. I went through years of denial, and hid all of my thoughts about what I thought could be. I was so muddled in an all too common train of thought that my first conclusion was that I was incapable of loving another human being. Having never experienced honest crushes or any emotional or physical attraction to the opposite sex, I was very frightened for my ability to one day have a family. This thought put me into a mode of paranoia and panic. I began to search any place I could for any other possibility, hoping for some form of medication or therapy to ail me of what I thought was a mental illness. After only a few minutes at the computer, I realized there was nothing wrong with my mind, or capability to love. I am just gay. After this realization, I was still confused and upset as to why I am the way that I am. I questioned if that was actually the solution or if it was just me...show more content...

She still loved me, but was heartbroken by the fact that I didn't turn out to be the daughter she expected. I had hidden my true self from her for years, and she was angry. That first night of her knowing was horrible. I stayed with my grandmother, who i had come out to months before, and just prayed she would calm down

Understanding the complexity of the life and living organisms makes us gain a certain appreciation and admiration for all of these systems that make us who we are. In order to continue my biological studies, a college education is imperative. A fundamental understanding of biology is crucial in studying dermatology. My main aspiration is to study dermatology as I've witnessed firsthand how impurities in the skin can dictate one's confidence. My best friend, Cody suffered from severe eczema and acne all over his face, neck, back, and arms. This hindered him from talking in front of large groups, taking photos, or yearning for attention. His personality was usually reserved and insecure. He placed all of his hope in a dermatologist who could potentially clear his skin. After his imperfections were cleared with a series of creams and medication, his personality became more bubbly and he radiated with self–confidence and happiness. Witnessing this, my prior interest in skin care, and my fascination with biology are all incorporated in my decision with wanting to be a dermatologist. A college degree is of vital importance when studying biology to be a
