Introduction Of Online Restaurant Website
1. Introduction to Online Restaurant Website
Abstract
"Online Restaurant Website" is considered as an increasingly used application in restaurant management. Just a few years ago, people used to spend long time waiting for a table to be ready for them at a restaurant. And after that, they would wait longer time to order their food. There was no surprise that the food took too long to be prepared. In short, the whole enjoyment of eating did eventually result in boredom and tiredness for customers. From another side, this is the restaurant management and staff who used to stand much pressure to handle a lot of customers at the same time. With great technology in general and the internet in specific, customers can be happy by using online food ordering and reservation. This facilitates the work of restaurant managers and staff. The system will make the entire process for the restaurant manager much easier and faster compared with traditional methods. On the other hand, these days' customers can place their orders and make their reservations as quickly and enjoyably as a click on their computers or smart devices. All in all, both customer and menu information management as well as report are the very wonderful aspects of the modern world in restaurant industry. Technically, Prototyping Model is what is applied in Online Website. Adobe Fireworks, Visual Studio 2013, SQL Management Studio, and Microsoft Office software's are used to develop the project. The Internet and Technology Essay
The Internet and Technology
Technology today has made an impact in our everyday lives. Technology offers many advances in the world. One of the areas of impact is in the field of education. An important technological advance has been movies and videos. Some would say these have become vital teaching tools. Technology as a whole has made way for several new conventions, some good, and some bad. While there are several advantages to using technology to enhance education, there are also several disadvantages. Technology as it is used today can improve the knowledge a student attains. However, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. As Christians we need to be aware of the many things that technology has to offer us so that our...show more content...
Many different students learn in many different ways. For example some are visual learners, others are oral learners and still, others are the kind of students who must take notes several times before they fully understand a concept. Technology gives students an interesting way to learn, it helps those students that are visual learners, rather than verbal learners. It helps students become individual learners, offering a plethora of websites for students to look up and learn from on their own.
On the other hand, technology can be a detriment to students. First of all, teachers put too much emphasis on the appearance of assignments, such as the pictures and the font type and the format, rather than paying attention to the actual quality of the assignment. Students spend more time on finding pictures, typing up their work in special fonts, and focusing on the looks of their papers, rather than focusing on the important things, such as the thesis statements, organization and details the paper contains. "Students spend too much time creating high–tech presentations that don't offer significant improvements over traditional slide shows, oral presentations, index cards and all" (Bassett 75). This isn't teaching the student anything except that looks are more important than content. Is that what we want to teach the next generation of students? "Teachers should not allow the glitter and power of high technology to distract them from focusing their

The Progressive Era Essay
The beginning of the twentieth century was a time of great social change and economic growth in the United States. The progressive era was a time in which Americans were innovating in social welfare. In the progressive period the government needed to take action in the role of economy, regulating big business, immigration, and urban growth. Once the great depression happened in which America's economy faltered people started to panic. For Americans the main issues asked were how to make society work more efficiently. This machine delivered votes, jobs, and payoffs in cities in which it used to gain power in state politics. The issue of corruption slowed down the development of the social welfare reform. Civil war pensions were enacted by the labor legislation that compensated veterans once the war ended. There were negative views about the pension like it was a scheme because getting the pension depended on veteran's connection with politicians or lawyer. The issue of corruption
Descriptive Essay : Hospital Room
Hospital Room Little particles of dust floated around in the sunlight as I slouched in the uncomfortable plastic chair. I stared at a half eaten bowl of peaches, each one swimming in it's own puddle of syrup. It was my first time ever being in a hospital, and it wasn 't for a good reason. Wrapping my ankles around the cold metal that connected the chair together, I grabbed his hand, and held it tightly. Gazing at his resting face, his glasses off, and eyes shut, I felt my throat tense up. The IV in his wrist punctured his wrinkled skin, as it pumped medications into his veins. I didn't want to cry, and I wasn't much of a cryer, I tried to stay tough, but I couldn't stand looking at his emotionless face . The grandpa that had gone to...show more content...

My mom noticing the frustration in my face, looked at me with her blue eyes, and her sandy brown hair pulled back into a tiny ponytail. She explained, "Candice, if we stay you will be so bored waiting for the surgery to be done."
I understood. Slowly, with my eyes towards the floor, I walked out of the room. * * * Christmas music blared out of the Fords fuzzy speakers, as we cruised down the freeway. You could only turn the volume up to about 14 before it started to sound like a lost signal. It was only the 2nd day of december, and the holiday tunes were already a bore. So I stared out the window, and glanced at the clock every once in awhile, checking to see how much closer it was until grandpa went into surgery. It was 2:39, and the procedure was to start at 3:00. He's probably already knocked out. A large red, white and blue, semi truck that read Pepsi on it zoomed by my window. Grandpa loves Pepsi. I thought to myself, and slowly but surely, a tear streamed down my cheek. Quickly I wiped it away, not wanting my mom to see the sadness I carried. But being my mom, she of

How to Analyze a Web Site
Designing a website may vary from person to person depending on their taste and style. There are millions of websites out there, each one designed differently from another. When you want to analyze a website quickly and simply there are a few fast standards that all websites should follow. These are 10 steps someone can follow to analyze a website in minutes. 1. Don't make me think, this means when you go to a website you should understand it from the minute you open it up. The website should apply to what you are looking for and you should be able to go through it quickly with no problems. 2. WOW factor, when the website...show more content...
8. Consistency, is the website the same throughout or does it change drastically as you go through the pages. A website should be consistent from the first page to the last. 9. Browser compatibility, each website allows different rules and codes for the website. Some websites might look really great if your browser is Firefox, but it might look horrible and not legible in internet explorer. If a professional designed the website they should know this and they will use codes that will make the website look great in any browser used. 10. Speed, a website should be built light and fast, if it is done right the website should be able to load in no time. Now a day you should be able to present large images with no problems and have no problems with file size and website loading time.
With practice you can analyze a website in just minutes. These are just a few key points to follow when you are analyzing a website. Of course if someone who has never analyzed one before, it may be a little more difficult and might take some more time to do. We have so many websites now a days, some in which we cannot even figure out or even be able to navigate through without hundreds of pop ups coming up. I think it is important to have a crisp clean website where your visitors do not have to scroll around everywhere trying to find something. It should be

Section Two
Design is the Answer
What?
Web sites need to be far better designed than anything in the print medium, due to the very interdisciplinary nature of the web–site.
Why?
Because a magazine with even minimum design gets its information across to the reader. You buy it because you care about the issues in its headlines, if you want more you jump inside, 'print' by its nature is a tactile phenonenom; touch, smell and accessibility, and it is for that reason it will never die.
But web–sites are purely visual and aural, one screen at a time. Encouraging the viewer to go beyond the first layer, even learn where to go for what is required is a common problem for designers. It is their job to bring the viewer inside through the "Dance of the seven veils",and once inside, guide them, not to confuse or frustrate them.
How?
Web–sites that work are sites that do what you want it to do. They do not insult your intelligence, but neither do they obfuscate. They must indicate the wealth of material lying beneath the first page, but also offer you options and alternate means of approach.
The answer may lie in better selling of the 'land' – in urban planning, to use a metaphor.
The solutions to timeless internet problems – navigation,

Javascript is a super popular programming language primarily used to create web applications. It helps make the website more interactive due to its user friendliness facilitates and allows developers to add animations and other dynamic features to the web pages. It also grants them better control over the web interface. Javascript accompanies a lot of the modern web and we can say this because today all modern web browsers support JavaScript without even the hassles of a plugin software.
In a nutshell, whether you are looking to build a responsive website or web applications that work seamlessly with popular web browsers. Javascript comes to your rescue. Currently ranked seventh in the list of top 50 programming languages it will be the numero uno language for front–end development by 2020. Javascript is responsible for the change that allows the users to see and interact with the site. Being the first client–side language, nearly everything you interact with on a website, is due to javascript. Thus making the language is the favorite among full stack developers.

Small Businesses Need a Website
Not all small businesses take advantage of the internet for their work. My father is a small business owner whom doesn't use a website to support his business. Small business owners such as a handyman need a website to prosper in the year 2014 in the US. Websites are necessary to support current customers, new customers, and the health of the business. My father is a handyman, former painting contractor, whom has been working on his line of work for the last 20 or so years. He truly believes his business does not need the internet to prosper in the current year. My father rarely hires co–workers, but when he does, they tend to be personal friends. My father also thinks that he has enough customers and owning a website for his business will make him too busy and become too stressful for him to handle. My father has been in business for a while and he has his own comfortable pace he has formed through years of work. He says that a website may attract more customers than he can handle and the stress will shatter him. Websites did not need to be big, elaborate, and flashy. They just needed to get the point across, and that is exactly the purpose they served. In 1994 the World Wide Web Consortim or W3C was established to oversee the development of web technology standards. The W3C designated HTML as the primary code language for the future of website design to be based on. Of course they have made advancements in the base design code such as HTML versions one, two, three, four, and XHTML. The very first and current director of W3C is Tim Berners–Lee. Tim actually invented the World Wide Web in 1991 and created the world's first website. He put the first website online on August 6, 1991. The web address was http://info.cern.ch/. Unfortunately it no longer exists in its original form. The W3C is still in charge of code techniques and development guidelines that website development follows. Technology has advanced over the years in web design. Website design is cut up into four generations. The first generation of web design was very simple. It was basically just text, this was because early modems were very slow and plain basic webpages would load much faster this way. The second generation was slightly more advanced as the development of HTML became more complicated. The third generation of web design is when website designers could add vibrant colors and animated images to their webpage. The evolution of websites and their

HTML, or Hypertext Markup Language, is the programming language used to build the internet. It is the standard language for web programming, along with CSS and JavaScript. This open–format, text–based type code is extremely versatile, and can be used to embed additional programming languages such as JavaScript. HTML is made up of different elements called tags that dictate the structure of the webpage that are then translated by a web browser into a user–friendly form.

Essay about The Process of Designing a Website
The Process of Designing a Website To begin the process of designing a web site you should create a paper prototype of five linked web pages.
Paper prototyping is a variation of usability testing where users perform realistic tasks by interacting with a paper version instead of a computer. With this we can obtain feedback from the user and then it be dealt with before creating a web page.
The think–aloud technique is concerned with the behaviour of an individual when performing a task.
We interviewed one user because we felt that if more users were to do the prototype, then information will be discussed. We told the participants at any time they could leave if they felt uncomfortable...show more content...
The user finds this very confusing due to the layouts of the buttons and the wording. As a result, they had to start all over again and it irritated the user.
A "submit" button was required at the final page but this was not displayed. The last page had mention that the order was completed. However, the feedback use from the think aloud technique meant that by proceeding onto another page would make the payment more reliable and sufficient.
From using the think aloud technique to get feedback, we improve our design to be a much more useful one. We put in drop down menus in appropriates places so the user would find this more convenient. The colour scheme was also changed to differentiate our website from the rest and create a better first impression on the user. We made our buttons clearer so the user can understand it better and also position them in a viewable way. Therefore using this technique has made our design more successful. (466 words)

Abstract On Depression
Depression have become a major problem in our society today. People who haven't experience depression will not understand how it feel and what it can do to a person. Many people also doesn't understand what depression is, or how it can related to suicidal ideation. In fact, studies have documented that the majority of young suicide victims had depression at the time of death and most suicide survivors were diagnosed with symptoms of clinical depression at the time of their attempt (Mojs, Biederman, Głowacka, Strzelecki, Ziemska, Samborski 2015). It can affect anyone, from young adolescents to college students to the elderly people. There are many reasons that can make someone have major depression. Such as financial problems, family problems, social problems, school, work, etc. These stressors in our daily life can cause anxiety which can increase our stress level significantly, which then can lead to depression. A research said that anxiety disorder have a high comorbidity with depression and that anxiety occur prior to the onset of depressive disorders in many individuals (Batterham, Christensen, Calear 2013). People who experience depression must find way to cope with depression and know how to get help in order to prevent suicidal ideation. The people surroundings, friends and family, must also find ways to recognize the symptoms of depression, and show understandings in order to help those suffering. Anything can be art, depending on who is looking at it. There are so many different definitions and types of artwork. There are paintings, sketchings, pottery, poetry, literature, music, movies, and collections; just to name a few. Some pieces of art are seen as more exquisite and picturesque than others. These masterpieces are at the stop of the hierarchal "art world." Some examples may include music by Mozart or paintings by Von Gogh. To be among the top of the hierarchy demonstrates much prestige. In this way, it holds more value to me than it would to anyone else. However, if I had just a single dried flower I would be more likely to just throw it out. By being part of a collection, the flowers gain additional sentimental value and I would not be as likely to throw the bouquet away. In this way, collections allow the ordinary to become the extraordinary. Any ordinary item can be seen as a piece of art once included in a collection. Collections bring delight to not only the collectors themselves, but also to those who get to see them. However, not all collectors show their collections. This may be because they think that showing others would diminish their passion or fascination with what they collect. This could happen if the collectors receive negative feedback about their collection. If spectators were to think of the collection as stupid or useless, then the collector may feel discouraged and collecting may lose its appeal. Feedback from other people is what determines the status of any collection. As Johnson says, "All decentralized systems rely extensively on feedback, for both growth and self–regulation" (192). Therefore, if spectators see the collection as marvelous, the collector will earnestly continue collecting and looking for things that are bigger and better. This allows the collection to grow and keep the spectators interested. By increasing interest in the collection, spectators continue to give positive

Writing is way that we can express ourselves, it is a way to interface ideas and thoughts and to prove a point. Throughout my writing experience or process I have struggled with writing especially using details or really expressing myself my work. In this course Facts & Fiction: Portraits in World Art I expect to gain more knowledge on how to write a perfect essay, story, letter, and assignment. I expect to learn new genres and rhetorical situations. I also think my writing will improve academically and I will develop my skills in writing. Also taking my writing to a different point of view, level, and writing something different rather than the usual. I look forward to getting feedback from my peers and learning their thoughts on my writing and how they can help me improve.
Reading and writing were two things my parents use to always push me to improve and work on more often. They always told me they are the essentials of everything thing. Even though I disliked both at a young age as I grew older I preferred writing because I can always change the way I write and write from my point of view, really be creative with it and prove my point. Growing up I always loved writing short stories especially scary stories. I always was creative with them and even made them realistic. To write an essay I usually have a couple of steps writing an outline, and the thesis a draft and finally a final draft. The most difficult part about this is writing the thesis because the whole essay revolves the thesis because it summarizes the whole essay. At the end of some essays, I had to use citations to do that there were many websites that helped me cite sources such as easybib which was a really simple process. So, citing sources was one of the easiest things about writing the essay.
Writing to a teacher is way more complex then writing to a fried or a family member. Writing to a teacher is way more complex, I must make sure that everything is on point or it reaches the state of protection. Which is having the right format, a great thesis and really conveying the point of the essay. Writing to a friend or a family member is much easier I usually don't focus on grammatic errors or writing a perfect thesis. Today some of us don't

If people are less connected with the real world, then what is so beneficial about social media?

Benefits of Social Networking Sites Essay
Throughout life, men, women, and youth meet people. These people will either leave a negative or positive effect on us and some will only be in our lives for a short period of time. However, once we start to lose contact with them questions arise and we begin to wonder: What does he/she look like now? ; Where has he/she been? ; How has he/she been? ; Why did we stop talking to one another? ; or what would our relationship be like if I had kept in contact with him/her? Well there is no need to wonder anymore.

Whereas Prodigy and CompuServe used various different sites to gain access to all of the different features, Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter have combined them all into one.
In 2002, the "idea" layout of what a social networking site should resemble was introduced. It came to be known as Friendster. Friendster is a "social networking tool that was created to "help you stay connected with everything that matters to you most: friends, family, and fun! (Friendster.com)" When logging into Friendster you see seven tabs. They are as follows: 1) home, 2) profile, 3) friends, 4) photos, 5) gifts, 6) classifieds, and 7) fun. Although this website laid the foundation for today's social networking sites, it came out before the market was able to develop and did not receive a lot of attention.
With a whopping 450 million users of social networking sites in 2010, Facebook, MySpace, and the various other sites have managed to offer the same basic features as Friendster but in a different package that many people have come to love.

Over the course of this semester I learned a lot about myself as a writer. This English 101 class has really allowed me to expand my essay structure and ways of thinking. This was my first college writing course and it has given me much more freedom when writing because in high school I felt limited and like what we were writing was not very important. In high school I would write essays to just to fulfill the required word or page count and to a degree I still feel like this but maybe that is why I am an engineering major but in this course I actually was able to express my ideas and for the first time really test the limits of my writing capabilities. I really enjoyed being able to incorporate my voice more in my essays and I believe...show more content...
The most important improvement for me in this course was on my grammar. I was not aware of the comma rules before. It was shocking to see where commas are to be put and the places that I usually miss. The Hacker lessons we did in and out of class on commas have improved my grammar significantly. Looking back through all of my graded essays it is unbelievable how many commas I have actually missed. Also, writing the essays in MLA format and including work cited entries and quotations, has helped me become more comfortable with it. When I write essays now, I do not hesitate or get anxious if I have to add a work cited entry. However, even though I have know a little bit more of when to use commas and have a little bit more knowledge about grammar there is still a lot of room for improvement. Some areas where I need to improve include transitions between paragraphs, being to repetitive, and my conclusions. This class has definitely helped me make my transitions better; however they still could use some improvement. I have to make sure that the reader can comprehend my thought process and that my transitions do not get in the way of the flow of the paper. In some of the rough drafts for my essays I could not find links between paragraphs at all but after work shopping in class I believe that they have significantly improved. I also need to make sure that I do not repeat the same ideas or words too many
Reflection About My Writing Course
At the end of this course, I feel that a lot has improved with my writing. When I first started this course, I was struggling with a lot of writing mechanisms. One of the things was transition. I was just writing without thinking of how to connect my thoughts. After completing numerous writing assignments, I am fully confident with my ability to have a paper that flows. Another thing that I struggled with was organization. Although I still have a lot of improvement to make, I think this aspect of my writing has improved. One of the things that helped me immensely was creating an outline before writing my paper. Another aspect of my writing that also improved has to do with run–on sentences. I see a lot of changes in my writing and writing run–on
