May, 28 2017 Problem–solution Essay Whenever anyone ever brings up abortion, it 's clearly a very opinionated subject. Opinions coming from all. Meaning men and women of a wide age range raised to learn and believe all sorts of religions. Even though this procedure is clearly only done to females, clearly. Everything about this topic is important, because depending on the side he or she is for pro–life or the opposite it 's all based off of the personal things that happened to them or around them. So to actually understand whether abortions should be legal you'll have to look at all the pieces that make up a hole. More so by using facts from the past present. I 'm pretty sure the first thing...show more content...
There funds mostly come from Medicaid reimbursements for preventive care, and some is from Title X. This is one of the reasons there organization is so successful. Quoted from plannedparenthoodaction.org it says, "At least 60% of Planned Parenthood patients rely on public health programs like Medicaid and Title X for their preventive and primary care. So, when you hear extreme politicians talking about "defunding" planned parenthood they really mean blocking patients who rely on public health care programs from getting their care at Planned Parenthood centers"( Berg). Basically stating that because they focus on the more low income individuals this brings more people to the organization . But that big part that their organization is based on is currently being threatened by people who view a different point of view. Connecting me to my next step. Age, race, religion and gender all being apart of the topic maybe it affects it as well. There 's a big racial gap between all races but www.Theatlantic.com writes, " An African–American woman is almost five times likelier to have an abortion than a white woman, and a Latina more than twice as likely, according to the center for disease control and prevention"(Dutton). Clearly this proves modern day stereo types rite which is sad. All women of all races have beliefs some state things like how " abortion is a sin" or others grew up to have more of a literal less tradition outlook
Violence As A Solution?
Dan Powers
09/21/2015
Violence as a Solution In the modern age, many problems can be solved quickly and effectively by having a thoughtful discussion with both belligerents. However, depending on the severity of the problem, the direness of the situation, and the time one has to react, a violent solution may be the only option. There are those who believe that violence should be abhorred and never resorted to, but those who think that are optimistic dreamers who are living in a false reality. Of course, if everyone shared their viewpoint, fights may never occur, but one has to accept the fact that some people will just refuse to stand down or accept something other than exactly what they want. This is why a level headed person with a strong moral compass needs to be able to recognize when a situation calls for a peaceful diplomatic solution, or, if diplomacy fails, a call to action. Violence can solve problems, is used in politics, employed by police, and is expressed through American superheroes. While violence is not the only way out of problems, sometimes it is the best reasonable solution. Those who succumb to the idea to use violence to achieve their goals will generally overcome their less confrontational challengers–overturning the results of
Problem Solution Homelessness Essay
Homelessness the Problems of America Homelessness has always been a problem in major cities across the United States and even the world. This problem also affects out local community and even all of us individually. (Daily) A majority of the American people lives paycheck to paycheck, and according to statistics, we are only one or two paychecks away from becoming homeless. While there are many reasons a person or family can become homeless, a majority of those problems come from a lack of income. Some veterans suffer from a mental illness known as PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) when they do not seek medical help they have a higher risk of becoming homeless then those that seek medical advice. This disorder was caused by something that the military veteran experienced while in active duty during war.
While the idea's that have come forth to try to solve the problem of homelessness, many people have come up with great solutions that are currently helping these individuals. The programs that are in place provide shelters for people who have been kicked to the streets and have no place to stay. These shelters provide food, clothing, water, and best of all a place to sleep. However, these shelters require the individuals staying there to seek a job during the day. The biggest problems these shelters have come from the rules that apply to those staying. The current rules allow homeless people to take advantage of the program by allowing them to stay there for up to 6 months, and then they must move to another shelter or live on the streets. The problem presented with this rule is in most cities they have more than one shelter, which allows people to abuse the system and live under the care of taxpayers indefinitely. However, most people understand that there could potentially be more than one reason why a person would need to return to a homeless shelter within 6 months to a year, but not spend almost their entire life using

The executive staff supported both Mary's Instant Rewards and Brian's Small Business Cards indicating these products would show growth to both sides of the company. Ultimately, Brian Allen, President of New Product Development chose to present Instant Rewards to the Board of Directors. Although the new product development team has ideas that are strong they were not sufficient enough for the Board to give them seal of approval.
Issue Identification
The focus groups and surveys of both products show they can expand its market share, yet each department is faced with a challenge of proving to the Board the results are adequate. With the newest member to the Board of Directors, Bea Henson, has challenged Brian to re–strategize his research and approach. Bea pointed out to Brian that the huge sample size may be distorting the results. "Without reliable statistics, we don't know the full scope of the problems and cannot adequately measure the results we actually achieve," said Shaida Badiee, Director of the World Bank's Development Data Group, who chaired the panel discussion (The World Bank, 2006). Over ordering of stock
Over ordering the stock was the first problem found, as well as receiving poor quality goods from the suppliers. The importance of having quality raw material should not be questioned and settling for the stock that is received without trying to resolve the issue is only going to reflect on the final product and the dissatisfaction of the customer. 'The market power of suppliers can have a significant impact on firm profits, especially when the firm cannot raise prices as fast as can suppliers.' (Laudon, 2010) It is important to have a systematic way of processing the stock from the suppliers – therefore by
Problem Solution Essay: Reducing College Debt
"Statewide, graduates of Ohio's more than 200 colleges and Universities carry some of the highest average debt in the country"(Martin 5). College debt has been a staggering issue statewide; students apply to loans they can't handle and the effective of doing so hurts them financially. College debt continues to rise; unfortunately, three solutions have been offered which range from planning, scholarships, and community college. The cost of colleges increasing, leaving a large amount of students in debt. It creates an enormous amount of stress on individuals. For instance, Kelsey Griffith a graduate from Ohio Northern University begins to pay off " her $120,000 in student debt"(Martin 4). Moreover, with dept this high, Ms. Griffith works two jobs and is forced to move in with her parents to be financially stable. In addition, the demand for college education is high and loans are easily attainable. For example, Ms. Griffith knew her college was expensive, but they disregarded her payments and she soon found she owed "$900 a month" after she graduates(Martin 4). Furthermore, colleges motivate and push students to...show more content...
Community college is an excellent route for reducing college debt. For instance, the average tuition for Arizona state universities is "$9,200" while Maricopa community college average at "$2,280"(NCES 7). Moreover, attending a community college first saves the student $7,430. It's much cheaper than attending a university for all four years right after high school. In addition, working during high school alleviates debt even more. For example a "high school student who works 20 hours per week(more during the summer, less during the school year) and saves $6 per hour" will save about "$24, 960"(Steinberg 13). Furthermore, this would provide the student with enough money to complete college debt free. After the student could attend grad school with extra money, whether he/she chooses or
In composition, problem–solution is a method for analyzing and writing about a topic by identifying a problem and proposing possible solutions. The problem can affect a large group of people in a small way, or the problem can affect a small group of people in a large way. In a problem–solution paper, the solutions should be new to the reader. To write my research problem–solution essay I followed three steps: researching, writing, and documenting. To start my research process I determined the problem, and then began researching for solutions. The problem I chose was registration at Normandale, and the common issue of classes filling up too fast. Once I had my problem, I started researching for background information on registration, and...show more content...
For my introduction, I started by writing a thesis statement. My thesis statement stated the problem of class registration at Normandale, and then introduced the four possible solutions; this gave the reader a brief summary of what to expect. To organize my body paragraphs, I wrote out my first topic sentence to define the problem, and then followed with four topic sentences for my four solutions. Finally, I rewrote my thesis so I could restate it in my conclusion. After organizing the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion, I was ready to write my first draft.
The purpose of my introduction was to interest the reader, and give them a brief background on the essay. The introductory paragraphs consisted of a hook, background information on the problem and why it is occurring, and then my thesis statement. My essay started with a direct quote I discovered when researching. I then explained the importance of the quote, and followed with my thesis. Also, I used correct MLA format when citing the direct quote in my paper. It's important to cite all sources correctly otherwise it will be penalized as plagiarism. Once my introduction was complete, I began writing the body paragraphs.
The main purpose of my body paragraphs were to explain and support my thesis. For my body paragraph on the problem, I made sure to explain the problem of registration, give an example, and then state who the problem affected. I then started the

Air Pollution
Introduction–
(Attention Getter) When people think about air pollution, they usually think about smog, acid rain, and other forms of outdoor air pollutants. But did you know that air pollution can exist inside homes and buildings? In the article "Air Pollution Fatalities Now Exceed Traffic Fatalities by 3 to 1", Bernie Roberts (2002) says that 70,000 people die each year from the effects of air pollution. This outrageous number of people dying is because of human activities that release substances into the air that cause health problems. (Credibility & Relevancy) Nobody wants to die because of polluted air, and this wish is shared by most...show more content...
We will not have to worry about going outside and inhaling toxic fumes that are out of our control.
2. Detailed Explanation #2: A law preventing or limiting the emission of poisonous fossil fuel will improve the air outside, and if the outside air is less or not polluted, the air inside our homes will also be healthier, with or without our use of natural or "green" products.
a. Life/liberty: With this option you would have a choice as to whether or not you want or can afford to purchase and use "green" products.
b. Logos: If we write to our local representatives and show support of such a law, we can ensure a healthier future for everyone.
3. Detailed Explanation #3: The decrease or elimination of fossil fuels through law does not require every single household to complete a long list of recycling requirements.
a. Environment/Safety: By creating and enforcing a law to decrease and prevent air pollution, the physical damage that people cause the Earth and the illnesses and eventual death these activities cause mankind can stop.
b. Logos: The reduction of fossil fuel emissions over one year by a law such as this is 15 times more helpful to the environment than recycling alone.
Conclusion:
(Summary/Review) Air pollution has many negative effects on people, the Earth, plants, and other living organisms. In addition to being ugly, it can cause illness and eventually death. Clean air is important because we cannot live without it!
Life's Problems Essay
Life's Problems
Life is full of problems, but how we approach those problems often determines whether we're happy or miserable. Bob Maynard says, "Problems are opportunities in disguise." If we approach problems with Maynard's attitude, we see that problems are really opportunities to learn about others and ourselves. They enable us to live happier and more fulfilling lives.
Maynard's quote applies to all kinds of problems. I faced a problem just last week when our family's kitchen sink developed a serious leak. There was water all over our kitchen floor and piles of dishes to be washed. But our landlord was out of town for the week. I come from a big family–I have six brothers and sisters–so we couldn't afford to wait until...show more content...
Whatever kind of situation we face, problems give us the chance to learn and grow, both physically and mentally. For example, when I had a problem with my car and couldn't the repairs right away, my problem become an opportunity to get some exercise–something I'd been waiting to do anyway. I had to walk a mile each day to get to the bus stop and back. But in the meantime, I got the chance to start getting back in shape, and I saved a lot on gas.
I've come to realize that problems are really part of what makes life worth living. Problems challenge us and give us the opportunity to do things we've never done before, to learn things we never knew before. They give us the chance to surprise ourselves.
Just the word "problem" can send some of us into a panic. But problems can be good things, too. Problems are situations that make us think and force us to be creative and resourceful. They can also teach us things we didn't know before.
For example, I had a problem in school a few years ago when I couldn't understand my math class. I started failing my quizzes and homework assignments. I wasn't sure what to so, so finally I went to the teacher and asked for help. She said she would arrange for me to be tutored by another student who was her best student. In return, though, I'd have to help that student around school. I wasn't sure what she

Organization: Problem–Cause–Solution
Audience analysis: The audience consists of three of the adult teachers, one male and two females, from my Sunday school class at Pleasant Hill Christian Church.
Topic: The problem I aim to address is that of the lifelong scars that affect a victim of child sexual abuse; and how it hinders one from seeking God for healing and understanding according to Scripture.
Rhetorical Purpose: To inform my audience about the intense emotional secrecy resulting from childhood sexual abuse, and to persuade them that as teachers of God's word they should be prepared to expect the unexpected while providing non–judgmental support and guidance to the victims working through issues of trust, intimacy and identity while seeking a personal relationship with Christ.
Redemptive Purpose: For a number of reasons, most sexually abused children never share "the secret" of their abuse that is most often committed by someone the child knows. Therefore, crippling their lives is the loss of self–worth, overwhelmed with shame, and fearful of developing relationships that prevents them from experiencing life as God intended throughout Scripture. The solution I propose is to understand how God sees the problem while providing a safe atmosphere while share Christ–like love and compassion enabling the victims to break the power of the secret and live for Christ.
Management Problems and Solutions Essay
ABSTRACT: Regularly management seeks to correct organizational deficiencies in order to align the organization to be more efficient, effective, and economical. They may opt to perform total quality management, lean six sigma, or simply downsize. Management may even identify symptoms without actually identifying the problem. Management may misdiagnose the problem by identifying a person or group of people as problems. While correctly recognizing problems, there are more on the verge and it is up to management to mitigate potential problems. Sometimes managers need to realize that the answers they seek are right before they eyes; they only simply need to look in a mirror.

WHO ARE THEY:QASAS, short for quality assurance specialist (ammunition surveillance) were originally established as ammo inspectors in 1920 and is the first civilian career program created within the Army (Oklahoma State University, 2011; Thompson, 2009). QASAS are responsible for all government owned munition stockpiles, to include the Navy, Air Force, Army, Marines, State Department, and several other activities (Oklahoma State University, 2011). QASAS are also required to travel the world in order to accommodate the Army's needs (Howlett, 2011; U.S. Army, 2010). With its inception, coupled with today's technology and government needs, management must possess a litany of skills in order to create and maintain a successful running company.
Wage Grade inspectors are also ammunition inspectors. Unlike QASAS, they are not required to be managers, but if provided with the necessary training, can be just as fully qualified as a QASAS (U.S. Office of Personnel Management, 2011; Oklahoma State University, 2011). Another difference between Wage Grade inspectors and QASAS is QASAS are required to move every three to five years across the country or other countries such as Japan, Korea, and Germany, to

Danger Of Smoking
Smoking was not known in ancient world , America has discovered smoking in the 16th century , the colonialist transferred this bad habits to Europe , People resisted smoking in a strong way, however, the traders wanted to sell cigarettes because they will get a huge profits from selling it , so they attracted people to smoke , this bad habits spread widely specially in English men , smoking spread from England to Europe, then from Europe to the rest of the world (Prochaska ,1992). Problems And Solutions Of California Essay
Problem/Solution
For many years California has been becoming more and more dry. Year to year there is less rainfall and snowpack, which in turn leads to less available water for residents and farmers in the state. The less water that is available means that the more that one uses, the more they are charged. This has caused many people to let grass, trees, and other features that require frequent watering die off. The accumulation of dead shrubbery around many places in California now can be seen as a fire hazard. Others have replaced the grass and trees with succulents or even concrete to reduce the amount of water that they use in an effort to reduce their water bills. California needs to put forth a greater effort to stop and find a way to fulfil their water requirements. There are a few different options and directions that California can go about doing this, for example California can regulate farmers more than they are now and build more desalination plants along the very large coastline.
As far back as 1976 there have been reports that California has been experiencing signs of a drought. Apparently many people did not take notice to this at all. Many of these people were and are farmers who grow water heavy crops such as almonds. Which take "approximately 1.1 gallons of water for one almond. Which can be multiplied by a bag of almonds multiplied by 6000 almond farmers in California's central valley at an estimated 600 million pounds of almonds per year". That is an
Problem/Solution Essay
This Has To Stop! Each year in America, at least 400,000 Americans lose their lives to cigarettes. This is at least one out of every five Americans. This epidemic is growing on a daily basis. Smoking can damage your body tremendously. Smoking can damage your lungs, brain, and heart. Smoking is a problem not only for human beings, but for America as a whole. Smoking pollutes the air. Cigarettes are made from 4,000 different chemical compounds and 400 toxic substances. Smoking is also bad for America because of "second–hand smoke". We roam around in a universe polluted by smoke. This is why smoking cigarettes is a problem. Smokers need to realize that they are not only damaging themselves, but the others around them as...show more content...
The benefits of quitting smoking are great. When you quit you will realize that your general health improves. How can we help people stop smoking? Many solutions could be put into effect. The price for cigarettes should be more expensive and nicotine patches, medicines, chewing gum, and electronic cigarettes should be less expensive. Many countries are controlling smoking by banning smoking in bars, restaurants, hotels, and many other places. America should take banning smoking more serious. Anti–smoking laws can also be used to regulate cigarette advertising by tobacco companies. In South Africa for instance, cigarette advertising is banned Most people who smoke hardly have any idea of the end result of their smoking habit. Information of the smoking must be made widely available especially to teen smokers. More smoking solutions would also include massive stop smoking campaigns via TV, radio, internet, billboards, SMS and over medium can also be effective in communicating the stop smoking message. Other methods especially to do with teens would be for parents and guardians, schools, and other authorities to spend more time with the young people to understand their behavioral patterns. This would help to quickly identify changes induced by tobacco smoking. I truly feel that these solutions could change the amount of smokers in America. Last but least, smoking needs to stop. We as Americans need to reverse this growing epidemic into a

Teen suicide is something that is endless, it will never stop but if everyone was educated on it, it could help prevent deaths. I think with people provided with statistics and further information can help avoid adolescent suicide attempts. I think most teen suicide cases could be prevent if we knew the signs to look for and the ways to stop it. I believe parents would feel safer if they knew knowledge on the issue and how to handle it. The intended audiences for this essay is parents or friends of suicidal teens. This essay is important because, as mentioned earlier, we need to be educated on suicide to end tons of tragedies. It is also important to be aware of the warning signs to help prevent. This essay is relevant because teen suicide is a war that happens daily, and will continue to happen, until we take control of the situation and do something to stop it. If family members were informed of the cause and symptoms leading up to the attempt of suicide, then there is less likely that teenagers would try and commit
Problem solving is a universal process that allows us to make decisions on everything from what to eat and what to wear. These steps contain the necessary knowledge that has been constructed through previous life experiences. Without sufficient experience the supports designed to strengthen our choices are weakened ending in the ultimate failure of the problem.
There are many different strategies that good problem solvers use to solve a problem. The steps of the problem solving process are systematic and organized. It is without doubt that humans will encounter problems that limit access to a preferred want or need at sometime during their lives and this was no different in my own life. Researchers D'Zurilla and Goldfried (1971) define a problem as "any life situation or task that demands a response for adaptive or effective functioning" (415). My life situation in question became deciding between attending school leading to future desired payoffs or working a menial full–time job that would not.
The first step in the problem solving process, allowed me to identify the problem. A situation can be perceived or thought of as problematic when an individual encounters situations disturbs them or they find that it keeps them from a goal (Bingham, 1999). The problem surfacing in affording an education and paying for everyday necessities became the central focus at that point in my life and defined the problem that needed an immediate response. The problem solving process can best be defined as the best way to overcome obstacles in situations and the steps used to help overcome them (Peterson et al., 2002).
The second step, sort out information that is not needed provided clarity during times in which the process seemed overwhelming. This called for a potential solution, a desired outcome and how to get there. The research that had initially been part of the formulating method had sparked an interest in the military. This idea was supported by the benefits that outweighed
